Premier Inn Worcester City Centre

Great location for a hotel - closer to city centre with a nice walk across the river to get there. Convenient stop to visit family in my home-town. Over-all a good hotel, clean room and comfortable bed. We didn't come into contact with any staff or stay for breakfast as we were in late and out early, so we can't comment on those. We loved that the room had a bath - this was lovely! The only downside was the the taps seemed to have some mould inside the pipes... it didn't come out into the water but it did look pretty disgusting hanging there in the running water :/  Other than that, this hotel gave us everything we would expect from a quick stop over :)

Arrived 45 minutes early and was told it would cost me £15 for an earlier check-in. Went into the almost deserted bar and had a £6 beer. It does cost £10 to park, so add that into the price. Stopped in many premier inns but this definitely needs updating the most as decor is in need of repairs

Brilliant first stay. Very easy self check in. Great spacious room on the top floor with an amazingly comfy bed. Very quiet considering how busy it was. Tay the waiter on duty in the evening was so friendly, professional and courteous , he went out of his way to assist us with enquiries. The breakfast staff were just as helpful and the full English breakfast was of great quality , especially the bacon and succulent sausages. cooked by obviously talented chefs. Moreover the array of cereals , pastries and drink selection were plentiful. Best Pain Au Chocolat we've ever had - so fresh. Well team Premier Inn you were fabulous , and whatever they are paying you isn't enough! We will definitely be back . Be extremely cautious when using the Worcester Cricket Club car park, which is managed by ParkingEye and recommended by Premier Inn. We parked overnight, expecting to pay the advertised £10 charge upon departure, as stated on Premier Inn’s website. However, the payment machine only allowed us to pay £5, with no option to increase the amount. Premier Inn was unhelpful, insisting it was not their car park and that they could not assist. With no attendant at the car park, we had no choice but to pay the £5 the machine requested. A few days later, we received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). Despite offering to pay the additional £5, ParkingEye refused and instead demanded £60, increasing to £100 if unpaid within 14 days. To make matters worse, the hotel reception was unmanned, with staff seemingly required to work in other areas. This forced us to use the self-check-in screens, leaving no one available to assist with any issues or concerns. Premier Inn used to be our first choice when looking for somewhere to stay, but after this experience, it won’t be anymore. What should have been a pleasant weekend away was ruined by Premier Inn’s shift to hotels without dedicated parking and their recommendation of car parks run by private firms like ParkingEye.

Hotel very dirty, Rats in car park, rusty bathroom bin, orange plug holes, toilet still dirty from last guest, dusty bathroom vent, room smelt like cigarette smoke, corridor smelt damp/wet dog (level 1) no net in bed window, staff on desk not interested when I reported and ask to be moved was told hotel was full yet when I looked online I could book a room for that night so was lied to.
