Excellent location off the highway, good price (we used points), rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and attentive. Stayed going to Myrtle Beach and stayed again on the way back. We always request a top floor. Will definitely return.

Stopped here for the night on our way to Florida. Good hotel, beds were comfy. Breakfast was just ok. Pancake machine wasn't working during our stay :( Easy to get to right off the highway. Food options within walking distance which was nice after being in the car all day.

This hotel is really is run down. It has has a very small lobby. The breakfast area right is in the front when you walk in. There are no real windows or open space. Elevator floor had dried blood. The room was small and the floor in bathroom had thick line of dust. TV had lines like bulb was going to quit. The ice machine had no grill to sit the bucket on when you were filling it. Really disappointed.

We stayed here one night returning home from our winter down south. Easy access off the I-77. Front desk staff were helpful and efficient so check-in was a breeze. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was okay. We will stay here again when in the area.

After reading the description we eagerly booked our one night stay. Elevator was out of order so we hauled our luggage up the stairs. Our room was old, sheets sub-par and the remote control was held together by scotch tape…. Very disappointing. Don’t let the outside of the building fool you. Holiday Inn, please don’t advertise you are newly renovated when obviously just the outside of the building has improvements.

I tried to stay here when I was coming in from Charlotte after delayed and cancelled flights. Decided to stay in Hillsville to cut down on my commute the following morning for work in Wytheville. Beware that if you live within an hour of this hotel, it is their policy to not let you stay there. Not sure what kind of policy this is but at 1:30 in the morning I was just looking for some rest. Beyond frustrating.

Stopped overnight while on a road trip. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was mostly clean, but there a few dirty spots on the bathroom floor. The mattresses were very firm. The air-conditioner was very loud. Unfortunately our room was located over the "smoking bench" near the front door and the air unit pulled the smoke from below into our room. Not pleasant! The bright lights outside bleed around the shade at night. Breakfast was so-so. We frequently stay at Holiday Inn Express, but will not return here.

Very nice hotel would highly recommend. Breakfast was good, staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and everything appeared to be well maintained. Safe was very informative about local attractions and restaurants.

This was a super HIE with super clean rooms and a great breakfast attended by a super nice lady. The room had many outlets for charging devices and a good room layout. There was a room safe and the young lad at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. This made the stay great. I admit that it is a little tough to get to as you have to drive past the Quality Inn to get to it. I suggest they put a sign with an arrow to direct drivers there. The elevator was apparently having issues as the sign said to not jump around or it would freeze. we were on the second floor and used the steps as they were super clean and had nice carpeting. I am glad we stayed there.
