Marley House Bed and Breakfast

Quiet break On arrival the house uses a "ring" doorbell,which we had to try a few times. We eventually it was answered Mark came across as rude, we didn't see anyone when we entered and had to guess where our room was, first names were written on a piece of paper with room number, but mine wasn't written down properly. However the room was pretty with a lovely view. In the room information handbook it said that we needed to state what time we wanted breakfast but again there was no one to tell. Eventually met Mark in the evening who was pleasant enough. Breakfast was average and despite the fact I had informed them that we were vegetarian no real alternatives were offered and although it said vegan options were on offer there wasn't really anything. Having said all that we had a nice break and it was quiet. Mark and Jan could benefit from having contact with their guests on arrival.

It is a beautiful place to stay in an adorable village. Customisable breakfast options and the hosts are brilliant at what they do. We were very relaxed and happy throughout the stay and that is the best compliment we can give for a B&B. Thanks for having us and hope to stay again in the future.

A truly wonderful visit to Marley House. The owners Marco and Jan are the best hosts I’ve ever met. The attention to detail is outstanding and the beautifully decorated rooms offer the best comfort and Queens beds all en-suite. Breakfast is served by the funniest Marco. My scrambled eggs on toast were the best I’ve tasted. There are communal areas to relax and chat including stunning gardens. It’s a wonderful Hamlet and a stone throw from Durdle Door, Dorchester and Weymouth. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
