Excellent small hotel/B and B. I say that as they don't do evening meals but some days, they do an excellent afternoon tea. Rooms large and comfortable, ensuite new and with quality fittings. Great lounge area with small bar. Very good breakfast with good options available. fresh fruit could be suggested. Only 8 minutes' walk into town and a bus stop very near so easy to leave your car and take the bus around the area Owners Caroline and Jonathan excellent hosts who know what the customer wants

What a find. So lovely to stay in a family owned hotel where attention to detail and a fantastic standard is normal. Warm welcome from the minute you arrive. Beautiful rooms well appointed and everything you need with a very reasonably priced bar and great choice for breakfast. All alongside a beautiful garden and central location. I would definitely recommend this hotel above the .ore famous Windermere spots. Thank you we will be back

A couple of nights rest and relaxation in this perfect hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the room was spotless and beautifully decorated and furnished, with a very comfortable bed. Jonathan and Caroline made us very welcome and their attention to every detail is greatly appreciated. Great choice at breakfast and there are some excellent restaurants in Windermere for dinner. Thank you for sending us home refreshed and relaxed. We will certainly return.

This time we stayed in the Miller Ground room, a beautiful room on the ground floor accessible just beyond the lounge. Every aspect of The Cedar Manor is exquisite. Jonathan and Caroline have developed their home into a little oasis of peace. The rooms are of such a high standard of elegance with beautiful fabrics and furnishings . Breakfast is a relaxed experience with such lovingly prepared food with good quality products and prepared and presented in such an appetising way. The building sits in delightful grounds with beautifully cared for gardens. Very well located, slightly away from the hustle and bustle and traffic of Windermere but less than a 10 min walk and you are in the middle of town where everything is happening. Jonathan and Caroline are very friendly and laid back, yet professional. You are made to feel very welcome and can come and go as you please. All in all, a wonderful experience. Couldn’t have found a lovelier place for our visit to the Lake District. Stylish, comfortable, welcoming and so peaceful. Thanks to Jonathon and Caroline for a wonderful stay.

Just spent New Year at Cedar Manor and, as usual, the most pleasurable experience. Their standards of absolutely everything always remain at the highest level you could wish for. This time, on arrival, we had booked afternoon tea. It was just brilliant, if anyone has had better we would really like to know where! Several very original thoughts, a choice of at least 12 teas that even we, as avid coffee drinkers, just had to try. Rooms are always beautifully furnished, presented & incredibly clean. Breakfast is just the best with fantastic choice. Don't forget to use the bar too, before you go out to dinner, after you come back, well almost anytime actually! Superb choice of quality wine, beer & spirits. Just ring the bell & magically Jonathan appears for great service always with a smile too. Great restaurants nearby as listed in details you get provided with, although people who have visited Cedar Manor over the years know where the best one was (& still is if you try the afternoon tea) Jonathan & Caroline have made this our number one place to stay for several years now & we look forward already to our next visit.
