The property was really well decorated and clean as it has just recently been upgraded and was beautifully decorated inside.
Unfortunately there has been no sound proofing in the property, so the noise from The upstairs apartment and people leaving the pub was very off putting.
We have stayed at The Dragon on numerous occasions, but this will be our last time booking in here.

Excellent Pub (food and drink selection), prices good with discount on drinks post meal.

Me and my husband came here for our Xmas getaway without our little boy. A few days before coming we were informed they were having their Xmas party so would be shutting early. I mentioned when we got there that it was a shame as we were looking forward to having a meal and drink at the pub. The lady that booked us in (unfortunately i don't remember her name) was so lovely and apologetic and arranged a drink as an apology. The room we had was amazing for the price-have recommended it to many of our friends. We are looking forward to coming back with our little boy and grandparents for our wedding anniversary.

Check in was very smooth, friendly and professional and the room was everything you can hope for: clean, comfortable and warm. My only comment would be that breakfast should be included for the price

Fabulous staff. Excellent food. Very comfortable bed. Shower head had a leak but was replaced very promptly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only slight criticism would be that it was a bit messy near the bedrooms.

The Cottage is a great place to stay and the Dragon is an excellent pub to have a few drinks and had excellent food. The staff are both friendly and professional.

Booked this at the last minute and it was a great choice. Struggled to find it on a dark and rainy night because it’s part of the Dragon pub and I couldn’t find a sign for the cottage! Parking was quite busy but still found a space.
Much better than the drab budget hotels in Derby.

Unfriendly, unhelpful and embarrassing
Came up against a brick wall of denial in customer service. When showing them my confirmation via ********** in writing they refused to acknowledge my room rate and demanded further payment even though I had confirmation of my inclusive rate. They claimed ********** to be at fault but had no interest in working with me to rectify this. After explaining that what they said to be different to what ********** advertises about the property that had no interest in rectifying this for their own benefit to stop confusion with future guests.
Hairs in shower and in bed also.
