Highlander Motel

First night was so horrible no heater… Room stunk like feet and the place was dirty. Hair and crumbs in the sheets!

This is a nice, clean motel right on the ***** of Route 66. We stayed one night when we came back from the train ride from the Grand Canyon. It was a cool night and the heat was shut off, so we asked the owner if they had any heat. He kindly provided an electric portable heater for us. The motel was full that evening. Nice chairs and tables in front area of the room. We’ll definitely stay again.

Perfect location. Very clean & quiet. Kind management. Loved the rotating shower head, rustic wood furniture & natural light. We were there during a heat wave followed by a thunderstorm, so I was worried that climate control would be a problem but it was very comfortable in the room!

Perfect. Old motel, yes; but loved by its owners. The beating heart of Williams. The owner is a true gentleman and cares. Stayed here with my daughter and we couldn’t be happier. I saw reviews complaining about old paint. What I saw was walls that have been actually washed and dusted. I saw a bathroom from yesteryear that was cleaned as if the owners were going to use it themselves. I have not one complaint. Perfect.

Hier stimmte alles, es war ein Fön da, es gab eine Kaffeemaschine, die Zimer waren sauber und groß, der Empfang freundlich und kompetent, da kommen wir sicher mal wieder

Chambre correcte pour y passer une nuit étape avant le Grand Canyon. Le motel est localisé à Williams, sur la Route 66, à environ 1h du parc national. Le tarif est plus que correct. La chambre rassemble tout le nécessaire (frigidaire, micro ondes). La propreté était parfaite. La décoration y est vétuste mais comme dans beaucoup de motels de l’ouest américain.

I booked a room at this motel, but was behind schedule on my trip by a day due to car repairs. I attempted to cancel/change the reservation online but missed the window by 10 minutes. I called the hotel directly and explained the situation to the man who answered the phone who said he would check with his manager and get back to me. I never heard anything back, so called again the next say and spoke to the same man who said the manager said they could not help me with adjusting or cancelling the reservation. I asked to speak directly with the manager but was told he was gone for the day (at 1pm on a weekday). I then called customer service for the online booking site I made the reservation through and explained the situation to them. Their rep. tried to call the hotel but no one answered. I can't speak to the quality of the rooms because I never actually stayed there, but I did end up paying for a room I couldn't use because they wouldn't work with me. I suspect that the man who answered the phone was actually the manager, either that or the manager will not talk to guests directly. Usually independent hotels/motels are willing to work with you on reservations, but not so at this place. I think they were happy to take my money and even happier to avoid helping me. There are plenty of other places to stay in the Williams area, I would not book here again after the poor customer service experience.

Je n'ai pas aimé. J 'ai trouvé la chambre laide bien qu'il y ait tout ce qu'il faut (micro-onde, frigidaire, télé, wifi). Vieux mobilier. Literie minimale. Odeur frappante à l'entrée mais on s'habitue. Stationnement devant la chambre. ($98.93 can. 1 nuit)

The rooms are small and smelly. Cleanliness was dubious, the TV does not work. The staff was not friendly at all. All in all it was a serious disappointment and I would most definitely not recommend this hotel.
