Wander Camp Grand Canyon

This is by far the worst experience we encountered on a holiday. We drove for hours to reach this glaml, down a dirt road with very large pot holes, to find out that the place does not even exist. It was completely shut for business with NO tents, NO one there, NO one answering the phone, it was dark and dangerous to be stranded up there. It was a complete scam as we had paid and the business was shut. We had to drive for hours to find another accommodation last minute at 11pm! We will be making a formal complaint regarding this accommodation and request a full refund.

While the tent was very clean and well decorated the bathroom shower situation needs to be improved greatly. It was not worth the money I paid. Will not stay here again

Le concept est très bien, alléchant, mais sur place c’est plutôt très basique. Le sol des tentes est plein de poussière, pas de sas d’entrée pour éviter cela. Pas de caillebotis à l’extérieur pour se déchausser, ou de terrasse pour profiter du ciel étoilé. Pas fauteuil extérieur non plus. Lit confortable. Heureusement qu’il y a une bonne couette et plais car il fait très froid la nuit dans le désert. Le nombre de douches (3) et wc (4) est beaucoup trop juste. Un réchaud gaz avec une seule bouilloire et une seule casserole pour le petit déjeuner, ce n’est même plus trop juste, c’est ridicule. Les photos, comme souvent, sont malheureusement trompeuses. Pourtant ce serait tellement fantastique que ce soit plus confortable et moins poussiéreux dans les tentes.

2 and 1/2 miles down a bumpy dirt road . The linens were clean but the floor was not. There were dirty footprints from the previous occupants. We woke up to big red ants in our tent. The shared showers were filthy and the floor in the entire bathroom was wet and dirty. I’m unsure if it ever got cleaned. The cook for the food truck couldn’t come to work so there was no food for the duration of our stay. Overall, I’m being generous by giving it three stars.

Nice and quiet area, the tent was pretty and clean. The bed was big and comfy but unfortunately the ground wasn’t level so one side was lower. The bathrooms were clean, I suggest to add more bathroom because 4 are not enough for the amount of people. At 7 am for both days there were a line that of 10 people waiting for take a shower or just using the toilet and brush the teeth. I enjoyed the little portable light. Another suggestion is to create a patio or something like that in the common area so during the summer time there is a shade area to eat because inside the tent was impossible for the heat. Other than that I recommend this camp site! Just 20 min from the Canyon South Rim.

Nous sommes venues entre amies pour une nuit dans cet établissement. Les Hôtes sont très accueillant et chaleureux ! Déconnection totale en plein milieu de la nature ! Tente très propre et cosy. A faire et à refaire !

We spent two nights here in order to visit the Canyon. Bed was so comfortable, and the tent was lovely. The facilities are very very basic, toilets and a very basic shower, but you are totally off grid so to be expected. Check in was very easy and friendly. Unfortunately couldn’t see the Milky Way as hoped but saw a very beautiful night sky. About 30 minutes to the Canyon, easy to find.

Der Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr schön. Das Zelt war wirklich sehr schön und sauber. Die Toiletten und die Dusche wurden regelmäßig geputzt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Zu jedem Zelt gab es einen eigenen Parkplatz und im Gebiet gab es eine offene Feuerstelle. Empfehle es sehr gerne weiter auch im Bezug auf die Nähe zum Grand Canyon.

Mancanza totale di illuminazione, dalla reception, passando per le tende e finendo con i bagni che sono illuminati fuori, ma non dentro. Durante il check-in (fatto al buio) ho chiesto di poter avere una torcia o qualcosa di simile, ma mi è stato risposto che non ce ne fossero più a disposizione. Letto molto comodo e tenda nel complesso pulita. La mancanza totale di luci permette di godersi il cielo stellato. Il servizio clienti via e-mail risponde in modo estremamente rapido. Insomma, a me l'esperienza nel complesso é piaciuta, ma questo non é glamping.
