Northern Lights Resort & Spa 10/7/24 to 10/10/24 My parents, husband, and I spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Northern Lights Resort & Spa in Whitehorse and it was undoubtedly one of the most magical and unforgettable trips I have ever experienced. From our arrival at the airport to our last day saying goodbyes we were provided with care and attention to our every need. Highlights of the trip: our excellent hosts Lynn and Toby, who created an incredibly cozy and well-organized resort. Patrick, who made us feel so welcome! He guided us on a personal natural walk around the grounds, knew our orders/preferences by heart, and was so funny and kind! Ulli is an absolute joy and was by far our favorite night guide host. She took extra time paying attention to our every need and ensuring we were comfortable, shared her incredible photography with us, and her excitement was contagious! Our chef James gave us literally the best dining experience of our lives. Words truly cannot describe the delicious dishes we enjoyed every lunch and evening and aside from the aurora itself, the food was the highlight of the trip for us! Our tour guide James was warm and friendly from the moment we met at the airport, and his knowledge about the history of the region was unsurpassed. We looked forward to his tours and enjoyed getting to know him! Juan, who helped out on one of our tours, was also so friendly we loved connecting with him about nature and birding – felt like we made a new friend! Rick, who guided us at the local wildlife refuge was extremely kind and also so knowledgeable - it’s clear he cares deeply about this non-profit and sharing the animals’ stories with guests. We could not recommend a better experience – from the clean and cozy atmosphere to the warm and welcoming environment, incredible food, and amazing staff – it made for the trip of a lifetime and I hope we can come back someday! This is an amazing place! Tobi and Lynn, the owners, gave us a wonderful experience of a lifetime! The food was great (James is an amazing chef), the chalets were warm and comfortable, and the staff was wonderful! Patrick gave us a very informative tour, and was also our waiter at lunch and dinner. The young man, Richard, who drove us to and from the airport was talkative and outgoing. All in all, we'd do it again!

Absolutely incredible experience! The views are spectacular, the excursions are fun, the food is delicious, and the staff are so kind and attentive. We booked the aurora glass chalet for a week and highly recommend going this route. It was so fun to wake up in the middle of the night and look directly out to see if the lights were active. We are glad we stayed for a full seven days because we had a great show for the first half of the trip but the second was very overcast which hindered the view. I don’t have a bad thing to say about a single person we came in contact with. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about how attentive and flexible Patrick (and the kitchen staff) was to our food preferences. The on-site guides (Juan, Richard, and Dorothy) were very knowledgeable and so personable. The Northern Lights and the dogsledding excursion which we booked through the resort were the highlights of our trip but not a single detail was missed and this bucket list trip will be memorable to us for a long time.
