A warm welcome and lovely homemade banana cake too! Breakfast was bespoke - and fabulous 😊

Overall the stay was very pleasant. The service was very good. However there are a few points which I feel need to be said. The bed needs replacing - was very old. The towels could do with replacing as they are starting to look faded and worn. The breakfast system of three sittings is understandable as Melaney works alone for most of the time - but it would be better customer service if you weren't told when you were expected to come down. Rather a blanket time should be given so you can please yourself. Some of the bathroom facilities such as the towel rail and toilet roll holder are coming away from the wall and there are signs that the rooms need some work doing as the wallpaper is faded and worn in places. The Guest House is very hot a lot of the time - the weather was good when I was there which I am sure will account for some of it but being a small establishment and the rooms are very close together - you need to keep the windows open or you will be stifled in the heat of the rooms. However overall the stay was good - breakfast was very nice and you could choose each day if you wanted to change your options. The cold water and fresh milk in the fridge in the room is a nice touch and I loved the binoculars that are in the room - you could look out over the bay and see ships and cruise liners coming in each day.

Wir waren im Mai wurden enttäuscht das Haus 🏡 leider schon sehr abgewohnt Teppiche ziemlich dreckig auch Zimmer und Bad musste ich nach putzen Staub und eingetrockneter Schmutz auf Lampen Waschbecken Möbel sogar in teeutensilien Becher Schimmel alles schmuddelig würde ich nicht weiter empfehlen Matratze gut aber Bett denke ich hatte schon einige Jahre hinter sich war ziemlich instabil und laut sonst freundlich einfaches Frühstück aber gut bis auf Frühstücks Utensilien waren auch sehr unappetitlich platziert
