Brookvale Bed & Breakfast

Abbiamo passato 2 splendide notti in questa dimora nel nostro giro itinerante per l’Irlanda. L’alloggio e’ estremamente curato e pulito, immerso nel verde. Pauline e’ davvero ospitale e personalmente abbiamo adorato anche i due Labrador di casa!

We had an exceptional stay at Brookvale. Pauline's hospitality was outstanding, with refreshments and home baking on arrival. The eclectic vintage decor was homely and inviting, the beds were incredibly comfy, and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast catered to all tastes, with Pauline's delicious banana bread being a highlight. We’ll absolutely be returning.

Che dire… B&B bellissimo, stanza super confortevole e padrona di casa gentilissima. Esperienza unica, indimenticabile. Colazione top con varie scelte tra le quali la classica irish breakfast cucinata in maniera divina. Ottima la posizione.

I was in Wexford for a local wedding and stayed with Pauline. Highly recommended BnB. The breakfast selection was abundant and delicious-- local produce, fresh baked breads, and so many options you could order from the kitchen. We were spoiled for choice! Our favorite was the homemade banana bread! The room was excellent (private bathroom with a spa section-- candles, towels, bath if you wanted), and we loved the private walk behind the B&B to town. Pauline went above and beyond, driving us to the wedding to save us coordinating a cab. She did not have to do that and we didn't even ask-- instead, she immediately offered which was SO kind and generous. When we return to Wexford, we would love to stay with Pauline again!

Brookvale is one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel welcome. Pauline and Chris are so friendly and welcoming and Pauline is a born host. She thinks of everything - be it inside the cosy room with extensively equipped tea and coffee facilities, the dining room with the beautiful fireplace, the well equipped bathroom or the spacious kitchen. In every detail you can see her experience in making her guests as comfortable as possible. The pleasent shower deserves a special mention because such powerful water pressure is not commonplace in every B&B in Ireland. A special treat is the wonderful breakfast. I am a breakfast person and I felt like in heaven!! There was so much choice and everything was absolutely delicious. Pauline had lots of suggestions for special places for us to visit – e. g. Tintern Abbey, the Hook Peninsula with Hook Head & Lighthouse and some lovely strands and beaches as well as Wexford or the Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience at New Ross. The B & B is easily accessible and there’s a parking lot right outside the door. So Brookvale is highly recommendable and we enjoyed every moment there. This was our first stop on our first visit to Ireland and it set the bar quite high for the rest of our trip! We had grabbed at bottle of wine at a nearby store to drink in the garden sitting area. The room was comfortable and included everything we needed. The breakfast was exceptionally delicious with everything made from scratch. It was the best breakfast in our 2 weeks of travel and we still talk about it months later. Pauline also shared great advice and insights for our trip including directions and recommendations to various attractions including a walk at a nearby abbey that was beautiful. We highly recommend this B & B!
