Hei guys, I can't understand why the hostel has such a bad review. I've stayed here for 5 weeka and I had a great time here. In my opinion it is the best Hostel in Australia. Free Breakfast, free candy in the movie-night and much more. I also want to mention that the managment does a great job and is very flexible. Also the eventmanager has also sime great activities for you to do.

Clean hostel, fast WiFi big kitchen and good location in Melbourne. Very close to the Southern Cross train station. However, the best part is its helpful and friendly staff (thanks to Leo and Adrian)!

one of the cheap hostels in melbourne. great stay. spacious private room. the only bad thing was that the kitchen only accessible until 12am. was very hungry after 12am, wanted to heat some food and they did not allow me in. could be improved more. overall everything was good!

Puede que sea un hostal y no un hotel, pero de igual manera se espera un respeto minimo a la hora de dormir. Gritos hasta la madrugada y los anfitriones destacan por su ausencia. Esta cerca de la zona free tram, pero no lo recomendaria.

The staff are really friendly as were many of the guests. The kitchen is clean and has all the things you need, and there's a free brekky of cereal, cheap bread and peanut butter but bonus points for having soy milk! My room was cramped and it was a noisy stay. It's a 10minute walk from the main transport station which is handy (but it is uphill to the hostel so do some stretches before you tackle the walk with your 25kg life on your back). There's not a lot else around the hostel though, and it's away from the tram line so it's a bit of a walk to food/bars/fun things. This place did the job and I felt safe here. A lot of people are there long term which changes the dynamic a little, but most people were friendly. There are lockers in the rooms and it's clean.

Booked this after a horrendous few days at a reputable hostel in the city. Nates place was very affordable and extremely comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff, although it's a little out of the city you can take a short walk down Spencer St into the free tram zone and easily make your way around the city from there.

I’ve had the most amazing time staying at Nates Place, it’s so far the best hostel experience I’ve had as backpacker traveling around Australia. The place has an awesome atmosphere, where you’ll find the best social life you can find at a hostel. This is due to excellent staff and service Nates place have. Leo behind the desk have a brilliant service helping with everything asked as well as he provided good sightseeing tips around Melbourne. Furthermore Callum was a great night manager, making sure people are feeling well, which helped creating the good athmosphere the hostel has. If you’re planning on staying long term or for a short time in Melbourne, I would at any time recommend you staying at Nates place, you’re guaranteed a good time! Benefits: Free breakfast Bbq nights and famil dinner once a week

Gostei bastante deste hostel. A limpeza era muito boa. A todo momento havia algum funcionário nos corredores cuidando disso. A cozinha é ampla e bem equipada. A localização é boa, perto da Free Tram Zone de Melbourne. Os lockers são grandes, os sanitários e chuveiros são satisfatórios. Pontos ruins: a cozinha fecha às 22h30 e a recepção, se não me engano, fecha às 20h. Tudo muito cedo!
