Hotel Maya Caprice

The room is kind of dated. But the view is just incredible. My wife and I decided to pay an extra thirty francs to get the mountain view. If I ran that hotel, I would have given it as a free upgrade (we were there during shoulder season, so the place was mostly empty). Despite feeling kind of irritated by needing to pay extra, the view from this hotel put me in an absolutely great mood. The staff were very courteous, and the room was clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The pate was something else... 10/10! The other dishes were more on the average range. I would be more inclined to recommend this restaurant if it wasn't so expensive. But that's true for all Swiss restaurants! If you stay at this hotel, there a delightful stroll that will take you an hour or so with incredible views throughout the walk!

Nice and warm room. But no coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Because of this I felt like being in a hostel but with my own unsuited. It's an uphill walk up to the place. Avoid if you have luggages. So close to the train terminal but you have walk a long way around if unable to take stairs. Room is very clean. Breakfast is a great bonus. Owners are hands on. Owner helped me carry my suitcase to the second floor. There is no lift. So close to downtown bus and shopping

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, The bathroom was a bit small, but still quite functional. We loved sitting on our balcony and enjoying the incredible view of the mountains and valley. The buffet breakfast on the patio was also very enjoyable. You also have to have dinner there at least once. The food, prepared by a top chef was unique and superb. Above all, the service was excellent throughout our stay. The owners always tried very hard to accommodate us, and they succeeded. We highly recommend the Maya Caprice. MB & JB, Upper Saddle River, NJ

I am not sure if we could have picked a better hotel in the Jungfrau region! It was perfect for our family of 4. Right off the train station, right next to the ski lift and gondola to Männlichen. So easy to get to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen and Interlaken which were all highlights we wanted to see. Our kids had their own separate space from us and we had a fantastic view! The service was great and so accommodating to us. We will be back for future ski trips and summer trips as well!

What can I say. This is the first time staying here and it certainly won’t be the last. The hotel itself is well situated near the train station and cable car. Inside it’s very homely, rooms are well decorated and very ‘Swiss’. The biggest thing though was the staff. Every night I was so well looked after at dinner and breakfast so they need to be applauded.

I visited Maya Caprice twelve years ago. It had a cosy and up market touch. It is not the same hotel anymore. Bar is closed before 10pm, fireplace to light is only for two hours from 6:30 and upon express/repeated request. Breakfast is ok but you don t have the same selection of local cheese (quality wise average), the view is good but the staff rigid (when one wants a table already dressed for lunch at 9:30, one is answered ‘This is forbidden’ (quote). Breakfast lasts until 10am but already from 9:30 you feel already pressed to leave and at 10:15 invited to leave. In general staff not proactively helping /advising, all upon request. You don t feel in a four star hotel- too pricy from what you get. I will not come back and won t recommend Ps: If you go there, bring your whole pharmacy- the pharmacy closed in Wengen afew years ago and the hotel has no emergency basic medication to give/or sell - while in other hotels we were in Muren they do. No nepresso machine in the room-

Beautiful chalet hotel with great views towards the mountains, comfortable rooms and fine dining, plus Spa facilities too. We went for the skiing and some sightseeing, which was fabulous. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms are well equipped with all the usual necessities. The kettle and tea were appreciated after a day out. The hot tub was too hot for us to use but the sauna was good. The food choice was quite extensive from fine dining to pizza! All was good and tasty. Nice cosy bar with plenty of choice of wine and drinks.

From May 19th to May 22nd, 2023, we had the pleasure of booking our final stop on our Switzerland trip at Maya Caprice Boutique Hotel & Spa. The hotel, conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the train station, offered an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff at Maya Caprice was not only extremely friendly but also remarkably well-informed. They provided valuable insights into the best activities to make the most of our time there. The food at the hotel was incredibly fresh and organic, elevating our dining experience. I recommend making dinner reservations early, as the dining area tends to fill up quickly. The rooms at Maya Caprice offered breathtaking views, with the balcony providing a stunning sight of up to 13 waterfalls. Opting for a room with a Jacuzzi proved to be a fantastic choice, enhancing our overall stay. Additionally, when we encountered a payment issue, the hotel staff demonstrated exceptional kindness and flexibility. They allowed us to leave after paying 70% of the bill upon arrival, providing the option to settle the balance via a transfer. This gesture was particularly helpful as we were rushing to catch our train. Upon our return to Colombo, Sri Lanka, we promptly settled the remaining payment, and the hotel staff was incredibly kind and supportive. Maya Caprice Boutique Hotel & Spa stands out as one of the best hotels in the beautiful cities of Switzerland. I highly recommend it for its convenient location, friendly staff, fresh cuisine, stunning views, and exceptional service. A memorable stay indeed!
