Welwyn Garden City

Stayed here many times over a number of years. Team are great. I am deaf and they always make an effort and have the equipment to support my stay. Recently the adjacent Stanborough pub was shut and rooms converted to make a simple restaurant. Looks.great. Far far far to small for size of hotel. Don't normally eat in restaurant as been there so many times. But as new tried it. Worst meal in a Premier inn ever. When chef sorry cook, can not be bothered to button up his jkt and wears it outside to smoke I am not impressed To follow that serves Lukewarm microwave soup and a burger with cold chips . Poor. The kitchen is on show so standards should be kept. Will now stay somewhere else.

The rooms and staff involved in the premier Inn were excellent The biggest issue we had was in the Space (where you could have breakfast or dinner as it was fairly new due to the closure of the public house that was normally used for food had closed The food we had was all microwaved and for the price was outrageous let alone the taste - it was appreciated that this was not the staff's fault. I would stay at this Premier Inn again just for the room and breakfast but would never have dinner at the Space again＞ To keep the good reputation that Premier Inn normally has perhaps if a proper cooked dinner meal cannot be offered then just serve breakfast only

Lovely place to stay. Warm and welcoming staff. Special mention to Darren and Leon who went above and beyond to accommodate us, credit to the team. This is the best premier inn I’ve stayed in. The rooms were cleaned and we had an amazing breakfast! Thanks again

Stayed at the PI WGC a number of times with work and never had an issue. It seems that the group are really trying to cut costs and it's showing. The adjoining restaurant has closed and the replacement is small, cramped and uncomfortably public. The food choice has been reduced considerably from what was an already limited menu. Staff are fine although clearly young and inexperienced- not their fault but it shows. Room fine as always bit sadly, I will be staying away.

The whole place is falling apart you can see how unorganised they are and they don’t have a clue the staff are just awful I was met by a very rude member of staff called callum couldn’t believe his attitude food is so poor will never be back! Bring back the beefeater premier inn staff don’t know how to run restaurants!!!!!!!!

First the positives. The staff are absolutely lovely. The bed is also very comfortable. Across the road is a Shell garage which has a Waitrose and bakery. The room was tired looking and it feels like the cleaning team are thin on the ground. The room had been cleaned but not to the high standard that you come to expect of a PI. The restaurant is small for the size of hotel and again it was staffed by two people who had to manage both the restaurant and the bar between them. They did so with a smile, but it looked tough on them. The food. If you like carb-laden high calorie food, then it is probably fine. I don't. I ate there two nights running simply because the weather was so cold, I needed a hot meal, otherwise I'd have had something from the Waitrose. I have never seen so many Uber deliveries either! Breakfast was inedible and at £10 it is a bit of a rip off. Considering the prices they are charging, I would not stay there again. In fact I'm back to WGC next month and I've booked a hotel in the centre of town.
