Stopped in for lunch - pretty typical pub menu, nice food and good selection of beers. Our friend had the veggie burger and particularly enjoyed - burgers looked the best bet. Nice little outside seating area for a nice day and live sport on the TV if that’s your thing.

The room was a work in progress but very comfortable with some lovely old fittings still in working order and in use. There is a pub next door to the accommodation block where we ate and the food was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if this was a good place for visiting the city centre but it was ideal for catching the ferry to the South Island.

The hotel is definitely not boutique perhaps once upon a time it was but not today. Old tired smells and not worth the money paid. Not even given a small milk to go with the coffee station. Hotel in the name is misleading no service to speak of more a motel. Very hot in the room but had a fan so that ran all day. Checked in and never saw anyone again. A shame really it must have been lovely in its day but she looks and feels neglected today.

What a beautiful place, quiet in our room, full on bar and restaurant below, amazing meals and great service. Room was pristine, beds were comfortable and off street parking is a God Send. We will be back, cheers everyone at the Arms for giving us a great 2 nights in Welly.

Plusieurs problèmes dans cet hôtel sont venus compliquer notre passage. La chambre en soi était bien, cependant, la chambre de bain avait une douche où la peinture levait. L'absence de ventilation avait provoqué beaucoup de moisissures au plafond de la chambre de bain et le stationnement était très réduit. Les robinets étaient séparés, chaud et froid, rendant le lavage des mains désagréable. Il faudrait vraiment que les chambres de bain soient refaites. De plus, les planchers sont bruyants et l'hôtel insuffisamment insonorisé. L'accueil était déficient. Tout au long de notre séjour il n'y avait presque jamais personne à l'accueil et il fallait s'adresser au restaurant. Le stationnement était très petit. Même si on demande une arrivée tardive, personne n'est là pour nous accueillir.

Staff were friendly and the beds were fine. We couldn't use our ensuite bathroom because the sliding door was so broken you could barely get in and out. Also had no ventilation. Thankfully there was a seperate shower and toilet down the hall, but that shower didn't drain. There were no hand drying facilities in the toilet. Wouldn't stay here again.

Was over-charged for drinks in the bar, the owner is blatantly doing this to the customers and bill-padding ie. adding itmes you never ordered. Something you might see in a poorer country, yet bringing down the tone of Wellington. What a shame.

Great place. The boss made us feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Perfect room. Affordable, well positioned. We ate there after coming back hungry from the races. Lovely food. Awesome staff. Perfect!
