Wayanad Silver Woods Hotel

The resort is beautifully located, among a lush green wooded area next to a lake. It is also conveniently located close to several tourist spots. The villas themselves are spacious, clean, aesthetically done. Ours had a sit out with a gorgeous view of the lake during the day and a sky full of stars at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. I must especially commend and thank the kitchen and restaurant staff and Chef Pramod, who very kindly humoured our requests for local cuisine. We mostly stuck to non-vegetarain fare whether from the buffet or a-la-carte, and it was delicious. The prawn Tawayillathu Chuttathu and Achayans chicken curry were especially good. While we were there, there was a magician who would come by during dinner and entertain kids with his tricks. In the mornings. there was a potter who would teach you how to use a potter's wheel to make tiny clay pots, which you could carry back as a souvenier. We faced slight niggles, such as the safe in our room wouldn't open but the staff had that quickly sorted. Then the handheld bidet started leaking. Thankfully, housekeeping could take care of it immediately even though it was nighttime. Just a few suggestions: 1. Since Silverwoods is a luxury resort, I did feel that the selection of complementary teas and coffees could have been better. 2. It would be helpful if there was an informational leaflet in the villa about how to operate the jacuzzi/where the main switch is located. 3. Warming trays at the buffet, since some times the food temperature didn't do justice to the preparation. We, unfortunately, had to check-out sooner than planned due to personal reasons, but we hope to come back for a quiet vacation at Silverwoods Resort again.

We stayed with family - 2 young kids and senior citizen parents. We booked 2 prestige Villa rooms. Overall, we loved everything. Let me talk about the best things: 1. The view was amazing. The resort is right overlooking the expansive dam. You will be blessed to have that view 2. We are vegetarians. Parents wanted food without onion and garlic. Our 1 year Baby needed baby food. 8 years daughter needed no spice food. And we needed normal food. We got everything! And with a smile from everyone, the taste was amazing 3. The staff was extremely welcoming. Everybody has smile on face 4. Rooms are well cleaned and peaceful Overall, really loved the place and did not want to go out in 3 days stay. Recommend to everyone.

Silver Woods resort is a nice place ,staff are friendly, food is good , but please don't book online from the Calicut office , there seems to be a wide communication gap between the corporate office at Calicut and the resort per se, or they could not care much to deliver what was promised.. I had booked two rooms and was also shown a video of the rooms , with lake view , balconies, bath tub, bigger size rooms , and paid the advance too , as to 9 k plus taxes ,per day perroom , But to much to our disappointment was given an ordinary smaller room without balcony etc . When I asked for the rooms promised , the manager asked me to upgrade with further tariff , for a villa , which was the only place with balcony, and I too fell for the ambience paid extra and then after shifting , with four adults of family realised there was no place to even stand in the room and single bathroom , shifted back to the ordinary individual rooms that were alloted , after a brief argument with the manager ( who initally said in a matter of ten to 15 minutes the previously allocated rooms were sold out ) . This was a poor experience , and since the stay was brief , of two nights , and two half days, just wanted to get over with it. Hence , booking through the city office not advisable. A welcome drink or snack could have been given by the reception , after having to had caught the early morning flight in the wee hours ...

Overall excellent and value for money. From reservations, follow up thru WhatsApp , timely communications, rooms , stay, buffets, ambience , weather , everything was butter smooth.. Thanks to all the support stuff for their dedication, Buffet menu is surplus, excellent display of wide choices, good quality. A word of appreciation to the chef for his commitment to the work. A special mention to Mr Rajesh Wayanad , a magician cum entertainer, he was vibrant and confident as well as polite. The ambience of the resort is superlative, the sunsets, the breeze, the weather, the charm and wilderness of the western ghats.

Great food, fabulous service. Neat and clean rooms with river facing balconies. Staff were extremely polite with great service. Was extremely happy to meet General Manager and chef. Kids had a good time at the club house and the pool. Will highly recommend to all visitors who is looking for a relaxed holidays.

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Muddu Mahadeva, the Operations Manager, whose warm and attentive approach made our stay even more special. One of the most thoughtful gestures was how the resort team (Mr. Arjun Nair) beautifully captured and presented pictures and videos of our wedding anniversary celebration. These moments, preserved so elegantly, have become cherished memories that we will treasure forever.
