Aranyakam Home Stay

I'd visited Waynad from 03rd of Dec to 07th of Dec 2024, all 04 nights I stayed here with my family. It is a Wintage style property having neat and clean big sized rooms, offers good services, Delicious Kerala food is the speciality of this property, Owner Mr Rajesh himself is a good cook and prepared marvelous food when his cook is on leave, I can't forget Mr Jafar who is working here, he is very active and polite person all the time he is ready to serve on a single call. Stay here is Recommended to all those people who are interested to spend a quality time with the family. Thank You Mr Rajesh, for your Loving Hospitality, in future if it is possible to visit Waynad, your Property is the only place to stay for me.

It’s a beautiful property, with home style delicious food. Jaffer, the host, was amazing and had great hospitality. He was there to address our requests through out our stay and he made sure we had a pleasant experience. He is the best host I’ve encountered so far. The property owner Rajesh was very kind to offer us a drive to make a visit to the doctor when we needed it. He also took us on a long off-road drive on his jeep, which was nice of him to do. The walk to the view point and the tree house within the property was great. It felt magical to see a waterfall from a distance through the view point. We had amazing bird sightings at this huge property. I will recommend this home stay!! Felt like home away from home.

I had an opportunity to stay at this homestay from 22- 26 Feb. A beautifully restored old "tharavad" (the ancestral home of aristocratic families in Kerala), whose exteriors look untouched but with all modern facilities. The owner Rajesh was available whenever we needed him and had terrific ever smiling staff especially Jaffar, who took care of all our needs. Never heard a no/ not possible, from him. Every meal which we took there, including the complimentary breakfast, was exceptional. Especially the nadan(traditional)cuisine. Rajesh even accompanied us on some of our trips and I had my first off- roading experience in his jeep. Backbreaking, yes, but thoroughly enjoyable. The huge plantation on which the Aranyakam is located had many walking trails, a couple of tree houses, view points etc. And other than the sounds of birds, total silence. Just the effort put in to make our stay comfortable makes me want to plan for another trip to this homestay sometime down the line.

Sorry for the Delayed Review! This place is pure & untouched. It’s like one of those places where you go to Unwind & recharge . The space has two people who make your life so very comfortable & easy Mr Jafar & the Chef. Jafar is a very humble kind soul helpful and always ready to take up your requests. We stayed in the wooden House which had one of the most breathtaking view when you wake up . Wanted to meet the owner of this hidden Gem but sadly had to leave the same day they came . Do try the Food by Michel I don’t know if he would be there Working still but had magic in his hands to give the best tastes. They organically grow spices & coffee in-house! Before it gets boring reading such a big review I would recommend you visit this place

Ce logement fait partie du programme préparé à notre attention pour la deuxième fois par KST que je recommande chaudement. Le lieu est rustique mais magique ! Tout est propre, le personnel accueillant et aux petits soins, une note spéciale à Jaffra pour sa gentillesse et son efficacité ce qui n’est pas si courant dans un pays qui a l’art de la lenteur ! Plusieurs batiments sur le site et plusieurs types de logements dont des cabanes tout confort perchées au dessus de la vallée. On dort au milieu des caféiers dont on boit le nectar au petit déjeuner. Cuisine indienne goûteuse. Bref, presque le paradis.
