Holiday Inn Express Rotherham North, an IHG Hotel

Unfortunate situation The Staff really tried their best to help, the room wasn't clean, the heating was broken but they provided a radiator, poor receptionist was rushed off her feet but it felt really uncomfortable staying in a Government Holding Facility, additional security was off putting and it felt I was intruding into people's homes, not their fault but not my choice either, very sad situation.

Worst stay ever Our stay was terrible, the hotel is full of imigrants, children running up and down corridor and room propped open, the place is so run down, rooms were unclean, remote didnt work, some toiletries were empty, stain in bathroom and mould and marks on walls in bedroom ,lamp shades all split, noise from road.

im an illegal immigrant i was not happy with the room or the pillows they promised me a free penthouse at the hilton hotel in london i felt discriminated against also the wifi did not work so i have demanded a new phone i asked for the i phone 16 and 5 moe for each of my cousins who will be joining me shortly,they apologised for the incovenience so i wont sue them .

Hotel onesto, c’è tutto il necessario senza troppi fronzoli. Personale gentile nelle indicazioni. Cena a base dei classici piatti inglesi, a prezzi nella media. Consigliato per una / due notti. Colazione varia Costo medio, sui 120 euro a notte

Unfortunately, I didn't read the other reviews before arriving at the hotel, BIG mistake. At the entrance sat two men, one either side of the door. This unnerved me a little, after several minutes at the desk waiting for the very nice polite man to find my room, I realised the two men were security. The man on the desk said he couldn't find my room on the system, I'd booked a twin room. Instead he offered me an accessible room, only staying for one night I agreed to take this room. The lighting was dim and we decided to open the curtains, this meant we could turn off the lights. only we couldn't because the light switch by the bedside lamp was broken. We returned to reception and told them about the light. The nice man apologised and moved us to another room this time on the second floor. The smell of food, hit us as we got out of the lift, children were playing in the corridor and in the stair well. In the room we found a double and a sofa bed even though I had asked if it was a proper single bed and reassured it was. In the bathroom at first glance it looked okay, but when I looked in the shower their was soap scum around the plug hole from a prior customer, Yuck! Also I noticed when washing my hands at the sink the overflow was blocked with scum and who knows what. Because we had places to be, we didn't complain. We came back to the hotel around 10:30pm and it was very quiet in the main area. In the room we put on the TV which was very loud, the remote didn't work and the buttons on the TV didn't work so we turned it off again. The next morning we had a light breakfast and left. We will never book into this hotel again, I would rather pay more and stay at the Premier Inn half a mile down the road. Talking to locals they said the hotel is used as a half way house for refugees and for people who have just got out of prison.
