Sandpiper Apartments

You could not ask for any better accommodations for a family vacation in Bermuda! Everything you would need to make your stay a home away from home is provided. Moria is a warm, friendly and efficient manager of the property who makes your welcome to the island memorable. The pool and grounds are well maintained and maid service is detailed and thorough every other day. If you have a family, apt #2 on the ground level is ideal, directly around the corner from the pool and gas grill which we used a few times. The Rubis gas station across the street has a good hot food buffet and to my surprise, sushi and other vegan options. if your driver is willing, ask to stop at Lundo’s or Marketplace en route from the airport. I would suggest packing paper/plastic plates, cups and utensils as they are expensive items to purchase. There is ample outdoor seating to enjoy your meals around the pool. There are no pool toys so bring inflatable rings and balls for the children. Bus stop is right outside for easy access to town (Hamilton) or Dockyard for a fun filled day.

If I could give the Sandpiper a 10-star rating, I would! The exterior of the property is both beautiful and impeccably clean. We loved the grassy area where we often gathered with friends. The pool is sparkling and refreshing. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious, and the kitchen was incredibly useful. The staff is both helpful and friendly. Although our room was located on the roadside, we couldn't hear any noise. The location is also very convenient, centrally situated to both sides of the island. I highly recommend purchasing a bus pass, as the bus stops are very close to the hotel. Many thanks to my friend Janet for discovering this gem of a place to stay!

This is a hidden gem on a pricey island. The Sandpiper are guest apartments which include a living area, small kitchen that is fully equiped and a bedroom with two queen beds. The rooms were very clean and had everything you need. We were greeted by Moira who could not have been more accomodating and pleasant. We had a one bedroom which had cable TV's in both the living room and bedroom, air conditioning and a full kitchen set up. It is right on a bus line and within walking distance to a restaurant. There was housekeeping serivce every other day but Moira is always available if anything is needed. This is not a luxury hotel but the price is also about 1/4 or less of what you would pay in the larger hotels on the island. I really enjoyed talking to the other visitors and staff for a true Bermuda experience.

Great apartment with everything you need at an affordable price for Bermuda. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to ensure your stay was pleasant. The apartment was immaculately clean. Located close to a mini supermarket and restaurants, eating out or in is within walking distance. You can of course order food in. A bus stop is located within a 2 minute walk which will take you into Hamilton ($5-$8 per couple depending if you head to Hamilton or Harbour) with plenty of stunning beaches on route. A most enjoyable stay and would return. Would recommend bus to Harbour and take ferry to Hamilton $10 each, but try and avoid getting ferry after lunch as can be full with passengers from Cruise Boats.
