Watercolours

This was our first time staying at Watercolours & it way exceeded our expectations! The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast served on china in a cozy setting, the house warm & inviting & the view fantastic! Best part, besides the accommodations, is the fabulous hospitality of Carole & Joe Holding! They were extremely helpful when I didn’t feel well & went out of their way to get us a dinner delivered. They treat you like family with kindness, hospitality & happiness! Their housekeeper, Annie, also goes above & beyond with her kindness. We will highly recommend this beautiful B&B & look forward to returning!

I cannot express how wonderful the owners of this B&B are. The house and rooms are gorgeous, very clean, nice personal touches. Carole and Joe has so much knowledge of the island to go different places. Annie sets a nice Continental breakfast up with homemade bake goods daily, each room has its own table set up in the library ,she also refreshes the rooms. Carole is well know in Bermuda for her art work, she also has a store at the Clocktower in the Dockyard. I highly recommend Watercolours, We definitely will go back.

This was our first B&B ever….and I’m thrilled this was our first pick! Watercolors was simply spectacular! Carole and Joe excel in providing top notch accommodations and a pleasant inviting atmosphere along Hamilton Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We were totally comfortable every day and enjoyed lounging by the pool and watching the boats sail by - and the sunsets are simply stunning. Overall - we loved Bermuda and the “island feel”. Our stay at watercolours enhanced our love of this paradise. We even heard from another local resident that we were staying at the nicest B&B on the island compared to others. Simply a relaxed, enjoyable experience from beginning to end. Special thanks to Annie who helped ensure our stay was comfortable! We recently spent four nights at this fantastic B and B. We agree with the raves of other reviewers: the location, the peacefulness, the waterfront views, and the helpfulness of the hosts could not be any better. The breakfasts were delightful, with fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade baked goods, and more. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Bermuda!

The place is very nice and super clean. Location is convenient to the ferry but buses are a bit of a hike up the hill. There are a lot of rules to abide by. The host will run through them all upon arrival but it is a lot of info to absorb.

4th visit (non-cruise) to Bermuda and 1st time at Watercolours. While we’ve been pleased with small inns in the past (Bermuda’s bar for lodging seems to be set high across the board) this extraordinary centrally located guesthouse on the water knocked it out of the park! Felt like we were at an overwater bungalow hearing the gentle lapping of the water a few yards from the sliding glass door of our spacious beautifully furnished room and seeing the steps that lead down into the water for adventurous swimmers/snorkelers. It was truly like staying with friends as Carole and Joe are so very warm, accommodating and good-natured. We also enjoyed meeting our fellow guests, all of whom loved it there. The home and gardens were beautiful (and immaculate) inside and out. Our housekeeper did a fine job each day as well. Breakfast each morning was lovely with beautiful table settings (a separate table for each room), fine china, great coffee, juice, cereals/granola mixes, home-baked treats, yogurt and fruit. We hope we’re fortunate enough to be able to return next year or sooner! Was able to bring home a memento - hand painted and signed tea mugs. Oh, and afternoon tea was also offered but we were too busy each day traversing the island to partake.
