Primrose Cottage

Fabulous location. Perfectly clean and tidy. Breakfast gorgeous. Host was extremely welcoming and charming. There are no faults to report. Can’t recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back. Owner and host is very attentive and a charming lady. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay.

What a wonderfully relaxing break. Karen is the perfect host – a warm welcome with tea and cake on arrival, a lovely quiet bedroom with comfy bed and everything you could need, including bottled water, biscuits and fresh fruit. Superb breakfast with wide range of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and extensive choice of cooked breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble for Karen, who even bought us coffee in the evenings when we were relaxing in the lounge! Definitely be staying at Primrose Cottage again.

The beautiful old house was in impeccable condition. Our bedroom overlooking the garden and fields was large and airy. The bed was bigger than kingsize and incredibly comfy! Two comfy chairs were also very luxurious to read the newspaper in after a busy day of sightseeing! Fresh and again, large bathroom, too!! The breakfast menu had everything on it from full english to scrambled eggs and salmon! Plus fresh fruit, juices galore. Plus a bowl of fruit filled every day in the bedroom! All beautifully presented by a charming and helpful hostess! Couldnt fault our stay!

We visited Primrose Cottage for three nights and were delighted with our stay. The cottage is in a quiet, beautiful location, but is still accessible from popular villages in the area. Karen was an excellent host who made it obvious that nothing was too much trouble & the breakfasts were fully deserving of their positive reviews & reputation. There is a lovely, well kept garden area that you can relax in. When we revisit the area we will be happy to make a second visit.

Absolutely beautiful cottage lovely room, lovely garden, excellent breakfast. Was welcomed with a lovely cup of tea and homemade cake by Karen and made to feel at home straight away, Karen was very helpful and phoned the restaurant up the road and booked us a table. We enjoyed four lovely nights at Primrose Cottage at the end of April 2023. Karen was an outstanding host, providing a service above and beyond expectations, including collecting us from a nearby train station after our car had broken down outside Norwich. We stayed in the en suite bedroom which was delightful and the bed was extremely comfortable and we had the best night's sleep. Fresh fruit and flowers were a homely touch and there was tea and coffee making facilities as well as bottled water. Excellent wifi reception and so quiet. The word that sums up the breakfasts that Karen offers is "Wow". The selection of cereals and fresh fruit were all delicious and the hot food cooked to perfection. We would give Karen's Primrose Cottage a resounding 5 stars plus. We would certainly return without any hesitation. Locally, The Lighthouse is a lovely restaurant for evening meals and serves coffee, cakes and lunches during the day (a short drive away) and there is also a great fish and chip cafe, The Kingfisher in Walcott which overlooks the seashore on the other side of the road. Access to lots of delightful places of interest are just a short car journey away. Ideally you would need a car as there are no footpaths along the roads so walking especially at night time is not recommended. Thank you again Karen for a most enjoyable stay.
