The pub had a lovely local pub atmosphere. The twin room was adequate. The temperature was nice, and the bathroom and towels were clean. Mattresses weren't the most comfortable, and the tea/coffee provision was very minimalist. It was OK with continental breakfast included. I think it's probably worth £75 - £80 rather than the £94.50 charged

This is a lovely little hotel, we booked the superior double and our room was spotless and very spacious. We didn't spend much time in the pub as we were attending a wedding locally but the breakfast was lovely and all the staff friendly and attentive.

Comfortable, quiet stay in quaint inn. Dog friendly (£10 p.n. supplement). Good location not far from motorway and close to visitor attractions (e.g. 15 min drive to Yorkshire sculpture park). We ate in the restaurant which was first class. Home cooked meals with generous portions and good choice. Friendly staff. Quite basic breakfast compared to similarly priced places we have stayed but served its purpose. Kellogs cereal, fruit, yoghurt, orange, tea/coffee and choice of bacon/ sausage sandwich or toast with one of scrambled egg/ beans/ cheese. Sausages for the dog though which was a bonus and she loved them!

Very comfortable room, warm welcome. Well appointed bathroom. Most importantly, a lovely public bar that is much more cosy than the sterile arrangements with other hotels in a similar price range. And real ale - couldn't be better! Thank you

This is a nice place probably best seen as a pub with rooms though our room was well away from our noise. We reserved the larger room and were glad we did. It was clean and cosy with an excellent shower and plenty of hot water. We could not read in bed as the bedside lights on delightful daschaunds are clearly designed to emit as little light as possible. We enjoyed the restaurant although I am not sure that vegetarians have yet to be discovered by this part of Yorkshire. Service is informal but warm. Important to have the right expectations. If you want the big hotel week-end break this may not be for you. Breakfast is continental with the option of some hot dishes but it feels a bit minimalist and not the atmosphere where you would want to linger. Nice place with a nice vibe

Great place to stay, quirky, better than your premier inn type of stay. comfortable rooms, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom. Great dining room, excellent food, lots of choice, real ales and beer on tap. cracking pint of Timothy Tailors landlord. A very warm welcome, would definately stay again. Large carpark, and a good breakfast.

I have been a customer of the Mews for many years but my visit in September was the first time that i have used their business facilities. We booked the meeting room and I also booked 7 rooms for overnight accommodation and a evening meal in the restaurant. The facilities and service was excellent and Will did a fantastic job looking after our group. The meal in the restaurant was superb as usual, my colleagues were from all parts of the UK and they all thought the meal was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed their stay and i would highly recommend the Mews for their Hospitality, Food, accommodation and meeting facilities.

Lovey place to stay , room a little small but lovly and clean with a great bathroom and goid shower, pitty bar closed early for a Sunday night as we was back for 9.30pm , but overall a good hotel with nice breakfast,...... ....................

Having stayed before (in 2020) I remembered the hotel as somewhat better. The room was quite small, and the walls between the rooms were paper thin, so that conversations (mine and others') could be heard. The breakfasts, described on the website as 'superb' were, I thought, anything but, unless you can describe a sausage sandwich or beans on toast as 'superb' - I personally wouldn't. On departure at the agreed time the place was deserted - doors locked, and I had to leave my room key on an umbrella stand at the only door open. I will personally not stay there again.
