Overall a great experience!! The logicistics and operations at Meridian Adventure Dive Rssort made the vacation so easy and relaxing. We felt like royalty from the dive crew setting up our dive gear for us, changing over tanks during surface interval to cleaning our gear at the end of our trip. I really loved when they took us to different islands in Raja Ampat during our service interval/ lunch breaks. The hotel overall is very clean and safe!! Very peaceful and stress-free.

I was told live a boards were the only way to see Raja Ampat. I was completely wrong! These guys got everywhere! First class diving and staff! Friendly and reasonable. I never touched my dive gear from the moment I arrived as it was all clean and on the boat every day. The dive guides knew the sites and where the same places the live a boards were at, and quite a bit less $$ Food was good and staff were kind. This is definitely a place for divers! The boats are only a few years old and very easy to dive from. The only place I have seen Dragon Wrass’s in the wild as well as large bump head wrasses and huge napoleon wrasses. Mantas were a plenty and wobygone sharks everywhere. A few black tip and white tips. The health of all the reefs were astounding compared to everywhere else in Asia. More fish life then soft corals, but still an abundant amount of corals. We were just in Manado last year and I would come back here in a heartbeat over Manado.

i visited this resort specifically to go scuba diving in the areas close to Waisai that my liveaboard trip did not include. The sites themselves are great however i would suggest divers request for local dive masters for all their dives. There are a number of non-indonesian dive masters who are either not good (eg.. on a night dive one non-indonesian dive master missed an octopus which i pointed out then he actually put his go pro in front of mine while i was filming the octopus !!! i pushed his arm aside but he continued anyway ) or don't have enough knowledge of the marine life in the tropics (when i pointed out a shrimp that is commonly found in these waters, the dive master said she had never seen them before -- face palm!!). The resort looks fairly new and they still have some issues to sort out -- like when it rained outside, it also rained inside my room!!! The local staff are very friendly and try their best so 5 stars to them but 3 stars for management.

The Instructors are great ! Very patient! Equipment is in good condition, very nice boat, new and proper for diving ! In the beginning , we went in the swimming pool, learned how to use the cylinder, regulator, all the hand signals we use to communicate under water… how to clean the mask, etc … after felling confident and secure , we went to the beautiful world under the sea … Everybody should do it once in life ….!

We got our diving license, and it was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had! I want to express my deepest gratitude to Erkan, Pinar, and Wes. You made this journey unforgettable with your patience, dedication, and care. Thank you for being part of such a special moment!
