Under Canvas Zion

We stayed recently in a stargazer tent with kids tent addition. Despite the heat during the day, the tent had cooled sufficiently that,, combined with the fans provided, it wasn’t uncomfortable and we slept well. Service from check-in staff was good, but the restaurant service needs some real attention. A couple of servers were unfriendly to the extent of being scary, and service pretty much fell apart both times we ate there (eg the eggs from the eggs with smoked salmon came 10 minutes before the salmon did - even though they only had to take it from the fridge, because they said they were busy - so breakfast ruined). I didn’t dare not give a full tip though because of the psycho stares given just for asking for a knife and fork. I have given a 4 star rating (rather than lower) because the location of the property and views are amazing - and the dining might just have been an unfortunate experience so should t put you off visiting.

I recently stayed one night at Under Canvas Zion and, unfortunately, found the experience significantly underwhelming given the $1,650 nightly rate for a 2-bedroom tent. Despite a decent location and a friendly greeting team, the fundamentals fell very short of expectations. The bed was uncomfortably firm with low-quality sheets and mattress, and several guests in our group woke up with insect bites—presumably from the beds themselves. Noise from neighboring tents and passing cars made restful sleep nearly impossible. When a car drives up the drive with lights on it lights up the whole tent. The tent lacked basic touches like bottled water at night, and the build quality felt flimsy, creaking with every gust of wind and move. Every time my friend moved in their bed it woke up th whole tent. The amenities were basic with no fans despite high heat, hardly any food (which can't be taken to the rooms) and a bare bones bar. At this price point, I expected a luxury glamping experience —not a setup that felt closer to a campground. The value simply isn’t there. I shared feedback with the team but there was no followup. Clearly not a company that cares about the hospitality experience and guest relations. As it stands, we all left feeling disappointed, unrested, and overcharged. This is the first review I have ever written but felt compelled to do so given the experience, price point and lack of from the team.

This was a family trip and we had three tents for three couples. The views here are amazing and staff incredible. We enjoyed a night sky tour (really a treat), hiking the narrows, and the sweet town of Springdale. Under Canvas does a fabulous job from food, to the tents to customer service. We love these glamping sites and plan to stay at others across the US. Just go. :)

I was sceptical at first, having expected not to enjoy the experience. Arriving in a bad mood and a little annoyed by the lack of WiFi, I only booked this place due to its close proximity to Kolob Terrace, as I was doing the Subway Canyoneering nearby. Travelling alone, I had assumed this would be more of a couples’ retreat, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fantastic and welcoming to everyone, not just couples. The accommodation was phenomenal—probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, making for an amazing and restful experience. The food was simple but of great quality and very tasty, which complemented the overall stay perfectly. To top it all off, the live music was truly amazing and added a wonderful vibe to the evenings. Overall, what started as a reluctant booking turned into a memorable and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, whether travelling solo or with company

The view was pretty cool. We opted for star gazing tent but because of clouds didn’t get to see any stars. Staff was friendly. Free s’mores (unlimited!), coffee and hot chocolate was great. Food was better than I expected. Staff running evening activities was kind. I wasn’t sure what to expect but overall it was a very cool and interesting experience. I don’t know if I’d stay at the same location twice but each location atleast once is worth it for the experience of it all alone.

Beautiful spot. Staff is very friendly. There are hot showers in the tent and blankets are quite warm.
