Wave Apartments

The experience was awful from beginning to end. We were not sent a verification code, so couldn’t access the apartment. After travelling to get there, this isn’t what you need. Had to phone and wait to receive this, stress not needed. Can only check in after 4pm. No where to store luggage. The whole service is virtual, no reception, no one to speak to. I asked for a room with no stairs and got a room with stairs. The apartment was dirty. The bathroom had hairs from previous guest and the apartment has not been clean, dirt on the floor and on the sofa. The bowls to eat out of were chipped. One of the doors, the door handle was broken and kept falling off. Seemed like they had tried to repair several times. We asked for clean towels and were not given these. No one came to clean the apartment when we were there. The apartment is tired and in need of a lot of attention. The shower is incredibly small. We were so unhappy that we changed our accommodation after a few nights to another provider. They said they would refund the difference but have not yet done this, saying they are unable to make the payment. All in all, it may be close to the beach, but it isn’t worth it. Stay away from here. There are lots more places to stay which are close to the beach and have good customer service and accommodation. This is the worst I have experienced so far. I came here with my mom to have a relaxing break for her as unwell, it was so much stress.

Reservamos un apartamento de 2 dormitorios con mucha antelación y al llegar nos adjudicaron un bajo a pie de calle, muy oscuro, con dos habitaciones, una de ella totalmente interior sin ventilación y otra separada de una terraza exterior abierta a la calle (sin ventana, con reja) por una puerta. El baño tenía un olor muy fuerte muy desagradable. Ahí pasamos una noche y, al día siguiente, mientras preparamos el desayuno, vimos un ratón correteando por el apartamento, subiendo a los muebles, el sofá, y entre nuestras bolsas. Sí, un ratón. Se lo dijimos al personal de recepción y nos ofreció cambiarnos a otro apartamento, que no era de 2 dormitorios sino un dormitorio de 2 camas, y una cama doble en el salón, pero éste bastante luminoso y sin el mal olor del baño, así que accedimos a cambiarnos. Por la noche nos dimos cuenta que los colchones eran de espuma, bastante blandos e incómodos. Tuvimos que avisar de que la rendija de salida del aire en el split de aire acondicionado tenía moho. Mandaron al personal de "mantenimiento" a limpiarlo pero fue tan poco cuidadoso que dejó todo el moho y la suciedad en la encimera del mueble que hay debajo del split. En general los apartamentos están muy faltos de mantenimiento, los muebles y rodapiés están desconchados, hay suciedad acumulada en las esquinas, y todo se ve muy descuidado. El menaje es de muy baja calidad: los cuchillos no cortan, la sartén (solo hay una) está requemada, y los platos están también desconchados y agrietados. Dentro de los apartamentos no está prohibido fumar y el olor se cuela por debajo de la puerta. También había un fuerte olor a tabaco, muy persistente, en la planta -1 donde la recepción (en esa planta no hay ningún apartamento). Aunque fue barato, no volvería ni lo recomendaría a nadie.

We stayed here for a short break. There are a lot of positive things to say about the apartments: 1. Alessandro on the reception is very helpful and friendly 2. the apartments are situated a stones throw from the seafront and on the edge of the old town 3. the shower was amazing and the apartment was very clean, even though some of the furnishings weren't in great condition 4. the apartment was very quiet 5. the beds were very comfortable 6. the price was very good. However there are also a few negatives that i think the management need to sort out: a. There was a strong smell of drains that came from the bathroom area and into the whole flat b. There was no plug for the sink in the bathroom which meant my husband couldn't have a shave c. The bedroom in our apartment did not have a window at all d. The flat was dark because it only had one window onto the very narrow alleyway behind. we had to have the lights on all the time e. The flat had no view - just looked at the balcony opposite with washing on The most important thing to mention is that the reception area is only managed for part of the day and after a certain time of night there is no staff there. our neighbours had a flood from the water tank in their room bursting. we tried many times to call the emergency number we had been given (as did a Spanish person staying there) but nobody answered. luckily my husband managed to stop the water and get the lights working again (they fused during the flood) but it was bad that there was nobody from the company to help or answer the phone calls we made. because of this i dont think i would stay again.

Fabulous apartments in old town , steps from beach and promenade . Spotlessly clean and well equipped.close to all bars, restaurants etc. Staff super helpful . Highly recommend … great value for money .

We were two couples sharing a two bedroom apartment and another couple in a studio apartment and we were all extremely satisfied with our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you would need in it to cook should you wish to do so. We didn’t as we were on holiday because there are so many great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There is also a washing machine in the apartment handy for those who are travelling light. Our luggage was stored on arrival as we arrived prior to check in time or your keys are left in the lock box if you arrive outside of reception opening hours. I fell during my stay and had to go to hospital and the gentleman on reception was really helpful with information for that and hiring a wheelchair. We asked for a late checkout and this was accommodated at a reasonable €40 but had the apartment not been available there is a shower room for guests use. We all said we would most certainly return here.

It’s in a Brilliant location. Good size apartment and nice and clean. The bed is very comfy too. There is all you need in the kitchen apart from a kettle - you just have to use a saucepan. The towels are a good size too
