I wouldn't stay here, or at any other related places to this organization - you won't know this by their website, but see below. We stayed here for 3 nights in Sep 2023 and we honestly feel like we got scammed. On May 20th we had contacted Pensão Agrícola (and this is where it starts to get strange and we should have looked at another place - even location in southern Portugal.) When we confirmed our booking with them at Pensão Agrícola, they required a 50% deposit via wire transfer because their credit card system was down (this we felt like was a red flag #1 - but we gave them the benefit of the doubt). We had to try several times to make this transaction for some reason and every time their response made us feel like they are doing us a favor. After making the transaction, we never got a receipt or a real confirmation, just an email saying they had received the payment (red flag #2 in our opinion). On Jul 20th, we get an email confirmation for the same days we had made a reservation at Pensão Agrícola, but this email confirmation was for Casas da Quinta de Cima – which at this point we had no idea what Casas Da Quinta de Cima was or if it was just an error. After contacting again Pensão Agrícola, they had informed us they are sorry we got the email confirmation before they could email us. Saying the following: “Unfortunately, you were originally booked in Pensao Agricola, however, I’m sorry to inform we sold the hotel and it will suffer renovations before the end of the season. We have realocated you to the new hotel we have (5 min away) in which the rooms are bigger and the general space is more appealing. We have booked you in House #4, it has a big private pateo and an outside shower, and also a fully equipped kitchen and a living room, so this is an upgrade to your original reservation and we will keep the same price so you are not impaired by this issue.” This for us was red flag #3 and started to make us a little worried, but they also had our 50% deposit and they didn’t give us an option for a refund – and it was getting a lot closer to our 2 week trip in Portugal, so we just needed a place to stay. After being in Portugal for a week and a half we made our way down to our new location Casa da Quinta de Cima – which when you get there it feels likes bunkered off because of the sketchiness the surrounding areas. Once you get it from the gate pin number they give you, you see one parked car, but nothing else, no signs to reception or amenities or rooms and no signs of staff or other people. It was probably one of the strangest feelings getting to a place that supposed to be a resort/hotel – you’ll notice from all the photos on google, there’s never anyone there, and you’ll see why later on. We drove around the entire property and made sure at least 3 times we are in the right place, we decided to park and go explore and see if anyone was there. It’s also 4-5pm at this point, so not a strange time for someone to check in, being they requi
