We traveled to Victoria TX to meet up with World Cruise friends and attend a 50th wedding Anniversary celebration. I will say upfront we have stayed all of the world in Marriott properties. Three couples stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. For Lynn and I this was our 2nd Fairfield Inn while traveling through TX. Location was fine with easy access to I84. It went downhill from; hallways, elevator, room and breakfast seemed to be well warn. We’ve had very nice stays at Fairfield in other states. It wasn’t close to meeting our expeditions of Marriott properties. Or the other 2 couples.

This hotel does not deserve to be part of Marriott. It is dark, dirty and dingy. Furniture was dirty. Rooms missing locks. Trash laying around and fans left out from trying to dry wet carpets. Towels were rough and worn. Minimal breakfast choices, mostly empty containers through breakfast hours. Stay elsewhere!

This hotel is badly in need of updating. It is dark and dreary. My room was dirty. There were hairs on the walls of the shower, and even though I asked early in the morning for the bathroom to be cleaned better, that did not happen, nor was the bed made up. When I came back in this afternoon, the front desk clerk was sleeping in his chair. The breakfast buffet, a staple of Marriott properties, was nonexistent, except for some stale bagels and muffins. No hot breakfast options at all, just empty countertops. The noise from Navarro Street made it hard to sleep. I use the elevator once and it was so noisy. It scared me and I used the stairs for the remainder of my stay. I had three days booked, but I’m checking out early. Never again.

My wife and adult daughter stayed one night while visiting Victoria over the Thanksgiving holiday. It met our needs, which was largely a place to sleep and shower for one night. This hotel is fine, but not great. There were few workers on site (perhaps due to the holiday), so service was just "okay." Internet worked great. The beds were comfortable. There were barely enough electrical plugs for all of the devices requiring overnight charging. There is an in-door pool and workout room but we did not use. We tried the morning breakfast, and it was beneath current standards for similar properties. If you stay here, be aware that there is only one entry/exit point to the hotel parking lot, from US 77 (northbound access only). This was a slight inconvenience. I would recommend rooms that face AWAY FROM the road and highway interchange, since our sleep was disturbed by loud cars accelerating from the roads.

You can literally walk to the mall, and many restaurants from this hotel, without ever stepping onto a roadway. We really appreciate that. No driving. Sara, at the front desk, made us feel welcome and appreciated. She was genuinely friendly, and accommodating. Provided everything that we asked for, and was ready to laugh and joke with us, and our friend, Vladimir.

We had a great experience here. The bed was awesome. We had plenty of water pressure for showers. Friendly staff. Very clean room. The pool area was well kept up and clean. It's a quiet hotel, considering it is close to the freeway. Which is convenient for travelers.

Hotel nice. Check in easy & quick & friendly! We requested a king room on the 3rd floor. Room was good. Bed & pillows comfortable. Looked like new carpet & most things in the room. (Desk chair very worn ) Bathroom nice except bathtub drain was a bit rusty. ( ug) We didn’t pay for high class room, therefore we got what we needed. Clean room for one night while traveling. Breakfast was better than some other hotels.
