Manoir de la Malartrie

Difficile d’imaginer mieux: un lieu parfaitement dans le ton de cette belle région, un manoir aménagé de manière confortable et moderne par des propriétaires généreux, courageux et de bon goût. Le manoir est à quelques minutes de marche d’un des plus beaux villages de France, et offre tout: une belle piscine, un magnifique jardin, une vue sur la Dordogne sans aucun bâtiment en vis-à-vis, des petit déjeuners royaux constitués de produits frais et faits maison, le calme, le confort… mais surtout, le plus important: les hôtes vous accueillent de la plus belle des manières, avec gentillesse, douceur, et générosité. On ne peut pas simuler la sincérité, et ici, tout est sincère, et on le ressent dès la première minute. Bravo! Ne changez rien!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Manior de la Malartrie in May 2025, during a 3-week tour of France. We both agree that our stay at the Manior was the highlight of our trip. The location is ideal, there is plentiful private parking, and the rooms, grounds and common areas are impeccably maintained. Ouafaa is such a gracious host - she carted our luggage to our suite, helped with dinner reservations, and even hosted an evening get-together for all of the guests. And the daily breakfast spread was simply the best I have ever experienced in all my years of traveling. We highly recommend this property, and can’t wait to return ourselves. Thank you Ouafaa!

A stunning and stylish property. We wished we had been there for longer! The property is charming and the rooms are beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers, quality linens, Clarins toiletries, bathrobes … The breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all delicious. The pool and gardens are lovely. The hostess is charming and nothing is too much trouble.

Our favorite stay while in France We loved everything about our stay - the room, the bed, the amazing selections and made to order items at Breakfast. ...and while it was a bit too cool outside to try out the pool, relaxing in the gardens and watching the boats and canoes go by on the river was one of the highlights of our trip. Ouafaa was the hostess with the mostest! We will definitively be back! We also loved that we could walk to 6-8 restaurants on the path from the garden for dinner - so nice not to have to drive and find parking in La Roque-Gegeac.

The rooms, the location, the gardens and terraces, the host, and the breakfasts at the Manoir de la Malatrie were beyond our expectations. Our entire time spent here was fantastic. Having our wine and cheese each evening on a terrace overlooking the river and the river valley was an amazing end to each day. Ouafaa is truly a lovely host who cares about her guests and her beautiful guest home.
