Scandic Stiklestad

Het is niet echt een hotel maar meer een kamer in een kultuurgebouw. Beetje vreemd. Geen idee wat ze precies uit willen stralen. De ontvangst bij de receptie was niet al te vriendelijk. De kamer was prima. Het restaurant en de bediening in het restaurant was prima.

Das Hotel ist Teil des Stiklestad Kulturzentrums, welches sich der Schlacht von Stiklestad im Jahr 1030 widmet. Wir verbrachten hier eine Nacht und schauten uns am nächsten Tag die Ausstellungen. Ursprünglich wollten wir auch das Freilichtmuseum nebenan besuchen. Leider ist es montags geschlossen, sodass wir nicht dazu kamen. Lage: Stiklestad befindet sich rund 90 Minuten nördlich von Trondheim. In Verdal biegt man rechts ab und fährt 5 km landeinwärts bis zur Anlage. Strassenschilder weisen den Weg. Hotelanlage: Es steht ein grosser Parkplatz zur Verfügung, der auch von Tagestouristen benutzt werden darf. Das Hotel befindet sich im Hauptgebäude des Stiklestad Kulturzentrums, wo man auch Tickets für die Ausstellungen und das Freilichtmuseum erhält. Die Anlage macht einen modernen und sauberen Eindruck. Zimmer: Unser Zimmer war geräumig, gemütlich und sauber. Das Bad mit Walk-in Dusche war ebenfalls einwandfrei. Nur eine Sache hat uns gestört. Obwohl sich das Zimmer auf der Rückseite des Kulturzentrums mit Blick auf die Natur befindet, spazierten mehrmals Besucher direkt vor dem Fenster vorbei. Die Privatsphäre war dadurch etwas eingeschränkt. Gastronomie: Wir hatten nur ein Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant. Das Buffet war ausreichend gross und abwechslungsreich. Hier findet jeder etwas. Service: Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren freundlich, aber nicht besonders hilfreich. Wir erhielten von verschiedenen Personen unterschiedliche Informationen zu den Öffnungszeiten der Ausstellungen und des Freilichtmuseums. Fazit: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat für uns gestimmt. Wir können das Hotel für einen Besuch von Stiklestad empfehlen.

Booked this hotel as part of a road trip to the Arctic Circle. Room were large and comfortable with large beds and a child’s pull out sofa which was also comfortable. The room was very clean and well presented. Bathroom was clean and had a good level of amenities. Only downside was weak internet. Dinner was tasty and the server was pleasant and accommodating. She made an effort to give us good service and as tourists went above to explain about culture of area. Breakfast buffet had a good choice and was well presented. Lastly would I stay here again- yes.

Very interesting architecture. Nice rooms and superb breakfast. Only thing lacking was a sauna or spa.

Clean rooms and friendly personal. Very beautiful location for our trip. Breakfast was delicious too with everything you could possibly want to eat. In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant and we were very satisfied with the food to.

Overal is is a very pleasant hotel. I like staying there, except for eating at the restaurant they threat it like a take away pay first then get your food, and it isn't that good, maybe that's why. Lot of young waiters and waitresses who are more interested on how they look and talking on their phone with friends then serving the guests.

Recommend the superior room! Also recommend the staff to clean tables more often! It was always messy at breakfast and outside. Slow service in the bar. All in all, we had a great stay, nice and clean hotel in nice surroundings.

The hotel ist a bit off the E6, but IT ist Wörth the detour. A very comfortable room, friendly staff and an absolutely fantastic breakfast were awaiting me. If I would be again in that area, I would book a room again - no doubt about it.

Very nice stay! A beautyful hotel in great historical surrondings. The personal, the rooms, the bed, the restaurant, the food and all the historical information was great. I also had the privilege to have my little dog together with me. I will surely come back. :-)
