My recent stay at Seagate Resorts in Velankanni, from 29.04.2025 to 30.04.2025 was a mixed experience. The resort's most significant advantage is its excellent location, being very close to the Velankanni Church, which was the primary reason for my visit. The convenience of walking to the shrine and other nearby attractions like the beach and local shops was definitely a plus.
Positives:
Prime Location: The proximity to the Velankanni Church is unbeatable, making it ideal for pilgrims. Other conveniences like the spacious and safe parking area.
Spacious Rooms: My room was quite spacious, offering ample space for luggage and movement. Some rooms also offer a direct view of the church, which is a nice touch.
Friendly Staff: The staff members I interacted with were generally helpful and well-mannered. Some reviewers also highlighted instances of staff going the extra mile to assist with early check-in or other requests.
Good Food: The multi-cuisine "Family Restaurant" at the resort served delicious food, with some guests specifically praising the breakfast and the variety of cuisines offered, including seafood and tandoori dishes.
Swimming Pool: The presence of an outdoor swimming pool was a welcome addition, providing a relaxing option after a day of pilgrimage or sightseeing

The amenities are not available like the pool, room service and the fan. The timing for the pool is funny..the water used in the hotel is too salty and un treated.

Had a wonderful stay at Seagate Church View Resort in Vailankanni! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the basilica and right across from the Morning Star Church. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The food at the in-house restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The peaceful atmosphere and the view of the church from the property made the experience even more special. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Vailankanni for a pilgrimage or a quiet getaway!

First I mentioned they have a inbuilt swimming pool. it's so useful for this summer. And overall they gave us a good service. The rooms are so good and neat. The ambiance was so good. All places are walkable distance. The reception staff was so kind. Overall good.

Very decent hotel. Clean rooms, beddings, towels, toilets. Quite good in-house restaurant. Fantastic views of the Morning Star church and the Sacred Heart statue. The swimming pool is very enjoyable. Adequate car parking. Overall a nice stay.
