Elixir Cliff Beach Resort and Spa

The hotel was good but the people in the reception seems to be amateur. Also when we booked it was written we will get complimentary drink when we reach but after asking them about it also they did not provide. They seems to be so lost. Other than that it was good. The location and the view was good.

Stay was good but not worth the price you spend there. Rooms are not really spacious and when one pays around 7. 5k for a single night, one would expect everything to be premium. We expected our room to have a bath tub at least but that didn't bother us so much. There was no bathrobes or even bath sandals provided in the room. We asked reception to bring some sandals and then they provided them. The seaview was pretty good and that's a plus but when you look at the whole experience, it was less than meh. Also, the spa is super pricy. All in all, a less than satisfactory experience.

Do not be fooled, this hotel is not at all like the web site pictures. The one star review is for the view and beach only. It is a very very run down and dirty hotel. The swimming pool should be closed because it's a health hazard, filthy dirty broken tiles all over the base, no ladder into the pool (just broken and left on the side. The restaurant area is like a dirty truckers cafe. Poor english, but not unfriendly, I felt a bit sorry for the staff, they have a horrible property to try and maintain, customers must be so upset all the time. We stayed the night because we couldn't arrange anything else but checked out the following morning. When I pointed out the issues with the property,they at least accepted my complaints and refunded the remainder of my stay. I now understand why they asked for full payment in advance! To be 100% fair and objective, the beach view and beach are very nice, although a horrible dirty passage down from the hotel to the beach. We ate a couple of things from the restaurant, which were reasonable. We had the junior suite, which was big and clean although a bit basic. There is nothing around the area and it also very run down. Sorry to say if this is the best Varkala has to offer then I recommend you strike it from your bucket list.

Elixir surf is very good place with all the amenities nicely taken care by staff. Food is delicious at the restaurant and they will arrange commuting to near by places by auto or car.

the view from the hotel is very good, the swimming pool is big and good and the hotel staff is very polite and food is also good 😊
