We arrived and were greeted with friendly staff and was offered a drink. After check-in, we were ushered to an area where we were given a map, and they spent time explaining where everything was. It was very central to almost everything, the habour, cafes, churches and shops. The amenities were excellent, and the restaurant staff were very attentive, and Katho made you feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is easily reached from the airport taking about 20 minutes on the X4 bus at the incredibly cheap price of €3. From the bus stop it’s about a 5 - 10 minute walk but it is uphill! Hotel is conveniently located in a pedestrianised part of the street within easy reach of most of the major sites. The room was spacious and clean with a great waterfall shower. As others have said, with our room overlooking the street, there was noise from the bars below especially at weekends when there was live music till 11 pm. The bass was particularly prominent and would certainly annoy some people. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. A special mention for the breakfast team who made us feel so welcome. We had breakfast included and couldn’t complain about the choice available. There were also various other options available at an extra charge. We also ate at Grain Street on 2 nights and although a bit more expensive than the other restaurants in the area, the food was first class and a step above what was on offer in most of the other nearby restaurants. Would use this hotel again if visiting Valletta
