Hotel Walram

In het weekend van 31-1 t/m 2-2-25 hebben mijn man en Ik een heerlijk weekend bij hotel Walram doorgebracht. De reden dat we er met veel plezier op terug kijken is dat het een super fijn hotel is. Op de eerste plaats het zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het begon al bij het telefonisch contact voor de reservering. Het meteen oplossen van een verwarming die niet voldoende warmte gaf (ontluchten). Super fijne, schone kamer. En het heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. Mochten we nog een keer naar Valkenburg gaan, staat hotel Walram voor ons op de eerste plaats om te gaan logeren. Allen van hotel Walram nogmaals bedankt voor de goede zorgen.

De aankomst in de lobby is mooi en het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer en badkamer zien er netjes en schoon uit. Wel is het erg gehorig allemaal waardoor de nachtrust wat minder was. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en erg lekker. We hebben genoten

This hotel is very well situated for visitors to the town, especially during Christmas week when I visited, I was one of a coach party and the Christmas market is a stones throw away. I must also mention that there is Christmas market in the Caves as well, really worth a visit and only a short walk away. The caves are worth a visit at any time of the year. The hotel reception area, bar, restaurant and food are really very nice. English speaking very pleasant and helpful staff. Now as for my room. It was tiny even for a solo traveller - example: If you want to stand in front of the bathroom mirror to comb and dry your hair, be prepared to bang your elbows , our rooms (I spoke to several other passengers) were old and very tired looking, although clean enough. Beds, I've had better.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location. We visited as part of a Parry’s coach holiday. The hotel exceeded our expectations it was modern, elegant and clean. We stayed half board and the food was lovely, always 2 choices for dinner. I am a vegetarian which was well catered for. Our room was all that we needed, modern, clean and functional. The bathroom had a walk in shower. There is tea and coffee provided. We brought milk from the supermarket located adjacent to the hotel. The bar is beautiful and drinks are well priced. Overall fantastic stay and we will be returning in the future.

This was the second time at The Walram…we went Pre flood in 2017 as part of a Parrys coach trip. We had an enormous room then and reasonably good food….this time we had a poor very small BASIC room though it was front facing. We knew the hotel had be given a facelift and the public areas were smart and inviting. The food however was much improved. Lovely breakfast spread and the evening meals were served to us. Drinks were on the pricey side and water was €4.50 a flagon on a 2 for 1 system we never worked out ! The evening entertainment was naff and too loud and some guests were very noisy in corridors upstairs..but it was Christmas. Valkenburg is a lovely little town with a wealth of fine buildings and plenty of smart shops but in December is spoiled by the tacky Christmas Market in front of the Walram.

Zeer goed ontbijt, kamers hebben slechte geluidsisolatie, ligging goed, parkeren lastig en duur. Niet boeken via *********** want de prijzen zijn daar erg hoog en ze zijn zeer klantonvriendelijk wanneer je contact met ze probeert op te nemen. Antwoorden geven ze via een robot.
