Hotel Rural Quinta Do Pego

Amazing hotel with endless views of the Douro in every direction. Very small hotel with lots of areas to relax and enjoy the views, especially from the infinity pool. Not crowded (only 10 rooms). Amazing staff. Personalized service. Vineyards are available to walk through. Wine tastings and drinks available. Indoor parking garage. Room was great, strong air conditioning, nice bathroom with heated floor, and beautiful view from our patio. Very peaceful. Great breakfast with more views. We had dinner here both nights we stayed which were great. It is price fixed 3 courses with two options available for each course. *Menu changes daily (unlike what was stated in a different review). Extensive wine list including their wines and wines from other wineries, all very reasonably priced. We opted to have staff pick our wine to pair with each course. They also have a few snacks and things you could order for lunch but we didnt try luch. Wine shop on-site, but it was closed in the mornings when we wanted to shop. Reception probably would have opened it if we asked. Everyone spoke English which was helpful. We considered other quintas to stay at closer to Pinhao, but visited one for lunch and found that Quinta do Pego was definitely the right choice. We will definitely be back!

Tolle Lage in den eigenen Weinbergen mit Blick über den Douro. Dänische Besitzer, deshalb beliebt bei Dänen :-). Alles relativ neu, stilvoll und sauber, sogar rollstuhlgerecht. Sehr nette und kompetente Mitarbeiter. Zimmer 1 und 2 haben ein (bisher nicht abstellbares) nächtliches Geräusch, problemloser Umzug in ein ruhiges Zimmer. Gutes Restaurant mit täglich wechselndem Menü, bis 17 Uhr reservieren. Natürlich sehr gute eigene, aber auch andere Weine. Weinverkostung mit Geschichte der Quinta empfohlen. Toller Infinitypool mit Blick über das Flusstal. Wir kommen gerne wieder…

OMG! What an utterly FANTASTIC hotel with a 5 star staff , 5 star food! Where do I start? Friendly greeting and welcome during check-in. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Food was great! Great vista points all around. Wine tasting experience there was extremely informative. We want to express special thanks to ERIKA, SOFIA AND INES!!! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying in this hotel. You will NOT be disappointed.

What a place!! The views are spectacular, our room was so comfortable, the food delicious, and the service was impeccable. We did it all there - had a delicious lunch overlooking the Douro River, walked around the vineyards, did a wine/port tasting with a staff person, had dinner and then breakfast and also picked fresh oranges off their trees. We had a busy trip to Portugal and our stay at Quinta do Pego felt like a day at the spa (although we did choose to hike around the vineyards). We loved our stay there and recommend wholeheartedly. We also want to thank the staff - we left something there and they so nicely found a way to get it back to us.

Tranquilidade e atendimento de excelência, quartos excelentes muito limpos, piso radiante no wc é fenomenal e prático, com vista para o Douro ao levantar da outra alegria, funcionários muito prestáveis de excelência, de destacar a prova de vinhos com uma explicação muito prazerosa sobre a quinta, os vinhos, e sobre esta indústria

Mooie Quinta met een mooie omgeving Personeel zeer vriendelijk Rustige omgeving Het ontbijt is super Wij vonden het eten te duur voor wat het is ze proberen er iets culinair van te maken maar mengen het lekkere die de smaken te niet doen houw het zuiver gewoon grillen met die lekkere groenten en een ring van geplette aardappelen met jullie lekkere olijfolie en kruiden super zo Kwa gezelligheid een bloemetje en kaarsje zou zeker een aanrader zijn Ik denk wel dat het niet in hun doen zit om iets gezellig te maken bij de Portugezen het is overal wel zo Verder zeker een aanrader
