Hampton Inn & Suites Valdosta/Conference Center

There were areas of the hotel that were 4 star such as breakfast and comfortable bed and clean bathtub. Rated it a 3 for the following reasons: room was clean but old, couch was nasty. Bathroom wallpaper was stapled to stay on wall. Not sure what the yellow clumps on bathroom ceiling were???Air condition was clanky but kept room cold so we were happy. Kitchenette was clean but appliances were old. Hall carpet is old, very worn and dirty. Hallway walls are peeling not sure if because of Reno or old. When Reno is done should be a nice hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly. Didn’t like the $210 for one night - much too high for the area and a hotel under renovation. Should have been offered a discount but wasn’t. Like I said it’s a clear 3 star but has some features that are 4 star

This Hampton Inn is not physically up to the standard of the company. The upholstered furniture all had stains that led us to avoid them. The carpet was sticky when I took my shoes off, so never went barefoot. The “white” towels were gray and worn. The bed was fresh and clean, the breakfast was good, and the employees were nice. This place just needs a remodel!

Front staff Friday night superb and fun ( missed getting their names) Amber sat morning a delight The kitchen staff was just so cheerful happy and efficient Special call out to Lorraine this morning I knocked over my water she cleaned up My mess and brought me fresh napkins and another drink; this has never happened in 10+ yrs of diamond at Hilton hotels. And all with a smile Loved being able to walk to cheddars for dinner! Just an overall great experience Rkkjr

Only staying for one night, and the disappointment started with check-in. We had checked in online the day before we arrived, on their app, for a first-floor room. When we get there, the app shows us in a different room, on the fourth floor, and the clerk says, "Well, that room must not have been available." We asked why did it show us it and let us choose it? No answer from her, just "It's not available now." She was able to put us in another first-floor room. The room was terrible. Dust caked the air filter of the air conditioner/heater. Dust on multiple picture frames. One of our towels had a hole in it. Mold was in areas throughout the bathroom and on the showerhead. Hair and something was on the side of the toilet. The bathtub faucet wasn't flush with the wall. They tried to fix it with a lot of caulking, but it didn't work. And there was a big layer of mold behind it. The batteries in the clock were so old they were corroded. On check-out, we brought up our concerns about the conditions of the room to the front desk clerk. Our perception of her was she didn't even care about how we felt and our complaints about the room. She just said she wasn't going to argue with us. Long story short, we won't be staying here again

Overall a decent Hampton inn. Good location for most of Valdosta. Much of it is in need of renovation. The gym is closed and being renovated. WiFi was ok but I did run into a few spotty times. The suite rooms have window coverings that do not fully cover the window so the street lights shine in at night.

We were in town for a family reunion and were booked as a group at this hotel. Honestly, I really expected more so I was really disappointed with the condition of this hotel. It was atrocious. It has not been maintained well at all. The carpet was dingy and buckling in the hallways. The wall paper was peeling on the walls outside the rooms. There was debris in the elevator and main floors had NOT been cleaned or mopped. The pool was down for maintenance. The gym is NOT a gym, but a room that has a few pieces of equipment in it. There were four machines and one of the treadmills were out of order. So, no amenities that you could actually take advantage of. In the rooms, the walls are paper thin so you can hear folks walking above you. There were stains on the curtains. Mold in various places in the room. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilets need to be upgraded because anyone with a physical disability would find it impossible to sit down because the toilets are SO low. The shower curtain was stained. The tub was NOT cleaned. We paid a decent amount for a terrible hotel. It was horrible. The staff were the only decent thing about the hotel. I do not recommend staying here. There are several other hotels in the area that may offer a nicer and cleaner place to stay.

Let me start by saying I am a loyal Hilton Honors member with Diamond status so I never choose any other brand but Hilton. I mention that only to describe how hard it is for me to report that this place is pathetic! Beds and box springs are terrible (and old), hotel rooms and common areas aren’t very clean, appearance is old and dreary and breakfast was disgusting. Staff aren’t very friendly and during my stay people were at the front desk complaining because their room AC was out. I will never stay at the location again.

Hilton hotels is our family’s first choice. We came in to town for a family event and the hotel A/C was out in half the building. My uncle had to sleep with the door cracked open in his room to allow for relief from the hallway A/C system. Staff said they had crew working on it and a day later it was still out. Food always lousy, the usual powdered eggs, greasy kielbasa and 2 waffle machines, for an over 200 room hotel at capacity… not a good plan. Beds are very worn making them uncomfortable. Hilton should refund or offer some sort of credit or points for stay under those conditions. I recommend management spend the night and feel what patrons experience. We will not be back to this location especially since there are new hotels in the area. In my opinion this does not meet Hilton Honor experience at other locations across the US at this time.

We've stayed here many times, and I'm grateful Hampton Inn is pet friendly- but this location needs a full renovation. Dirty stained carpet and odors in the hallways. Our room was disappointing, bathroom had some mold on the floor near the tub and everything in there looked old and dingy. The beds felt hard and cheap, like they came from Odd Lots. Breakfast was typical and good enough but I seriously couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning. Stay elsewhere, there are better options for your money.
