Chalet Skadi - Village Montana

Cancelled our stay with no reason, which has left my partner & I in a mess for our honeymoon. With the demand for Val-d’Isère this is completely unacceptable as there are no other viable options available. Book at your own risk I guess……………..

Logement lumineux malgré une vue pas toujours au top (travailleurs sur la résidence d'en face en travaux du lundi au vendredi dès 7h ou 8hdu matin). L'ensemble est moderne est propre. Le personnel est professionnel, souriant et disponible. La piscine, est sympa. Le sauna et le hammam sont parfaits pour un moment de détente . La lingerie, les serviettes, peignoirs et chaussons c'est super. Petits bémols: 1/ La descente de garage horrible avec un véhicule bas, frottements à la sortie assurés. 2/ Le bruits des travaux de la résidence d'en face dès 7h du matin 3/ Appartement réservé de 60m2, le notre ne devait pas dépasser les 45m2, vraiment petit par rapport à nos réservations habituelles de 60m2 4/ la vue sur montagne donnait en faite sur le batiment voisin 5/ L'eau froide à tous les robinets (cuisine /SDB) qui donne de l'eau bouillante voir brulante pendant 3 à 4min. Un gachi écologique de laisser couler l'eau pour avoir de l'eau à température ambiante. 6/ Centre piscine/SPA fermé pour la saison le jeudi 28/8 alors que l'hotel/résidence ferme beaucoup plus tard, pas top 7/ La mairie de val d'isère a décidé en dernière minute de fermer la plupart des activités le 25/8 alors que celles ci étaient prévues jusqu'au 1/9. Vraiment décevant! 8/Les prix dans les supermarchés de Val d'Isère sont exagérés Première fois à Val d'isère, nous pensons franchement que ce sera la dernière

Excellent séjour avec un très bon accueil, de très bonnes prestations et également une bonne situation géographique dans la station avec accès au centre de val d'Isère avec une navette gratuite.

Excellent location with two minutes walk to bus-stop. Busses every ten minutes. Friendly front-desk staff. Nice SPA. Practical ski-room/storage. Room 309 as is should however not be offered to guests. Poor indoor air quality. In room 309, one bedroom is without window/access to fresh air. Indoor corridors with guest-traffic are ajacent to bedroom window.

I would give it 3.5 stars if that was an option, as it is good but not 'very good'. I think it would be 'very good' with a few improvements. Pros: comfortable beds. great views. balcony underground parking. nespresso machine (bring your own pods). cons: Apartments are much smaller than the pictures on the website would suggest. the communal area in a 2-bed apartment is very cramped. Kitchen is very small and equipment is limited. no washing machine which was surprising for a self-catering place. Bedsheets are the cheap and scratchy type, not 'hotel linen'. There's no point paying extra for a fireplace as the lounge is so small that it gets unbearably hot. Spa is nice but it gets busy as it's small. Also, it closes very early every day (19.45), which is odd when most people will want to use it in the evenings. The steam room was broken for the whole week during our visit. I asked a couple of times about this, but it didn't seem like anyone was in a rush to fix it. Nobody cleared the snow / ice in the courtyard all week so it became like an ice rink. Parking is expensive, but probably average for local area. I would probably stay here again, but might book a bigger apartment and bring my own sheets.

Great location, not far to walk to the centre and on the free bus route. Staff are lovely, apartment had everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable and modern. Spa was great after a long day on the slopes and not too busy. Food was excellent.

From the beginning we received excellent service and helpful answers to questions when we made our booking. The excellent service continued in the hotel. We had a 5 bedroom apartment - all rooms are great (one without windows) and all have own bathroom. The living area is slightly smaller than the pictures imply but none-the-less very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. It would have been nice to have some kitchen food basics such as tea/coffee, milk Cleanliness could be improved - it was not perfect on arrival. The main negative quality was the lack of internet, this should not be a problem these days and the reason why I have given 4 stars for service. Spa area is lovely - some members of our party really enjoyed their massage - book early! We also enjoyed a delicious fondue at the Ski Lodge restaurant. The location of property is also excellent, a minute walk to bus-stop which takes you to the ski slopes (2 stops, 5 minutes), next door to ski rental shop, and a minute walk to spa. Walking into Val D’Isère centre takes about 7 minutes! Overall, I believe this apartment is a very good 4 star property and I would highly recommend

Nous avons passez un excellent séjour entre amis dans des appartements très spacieux et très bien agencés. Chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain et son WC, ce qui est parfait pour un séjour entre amis. L'accueil et le personnel sont au top.
