Golden Pineapple Villas-Adults Only

This was the BEST property we’ve ever stayed at!! Very secluded and private. Views are amazing and the food is incredible!! Rooms are beautiful and very well furnished. So many activities to do!! The staff treated us like we were the only people there.

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon mid June. This place is wonderful. It feels so incredibly private and peaceful. In fact, we hardly even saw other guests while there. The villas are lovely and the views are phenomenal. The villas have a kitchen which is fully stocked (plates, silverware, pots, etc) as well as complimentary drinks inside the fridge each day. The outdoor shower and tub are great. The staff are lovely. They take the time to get to know you and your names. They are very kind. The food was great. If you haven’t figured it out from other reviews, you absolutely need to have a 4x4 vehicle to get here! I will admit the drive up was kinda scary sometimes, but it gets better after you do it a few times. There are pretty steep dirt roads to get here. And have good brakes on the car for the way down! A few tips: -bring bug spray, there are lots of insects everywhere. -bring earplugs if you need to sleep in quiet. The wildlife can be loud at night! -there are shades over the windows in your villa, but they don’t really block light. The sun rises very early and it gets very bright. Bring a sleep mask if that’s something you need! -we shopped at the BM Supermercado right in Uvita, it was very convenient. We saw toucans and other amazing birds right from the hotel. You truly are in the jungle here, it’s amazing! I would definitely recommend staying here. Out of all the exploring we did while in CR, Uvita was definitely the best place to be!

This amazing rainforest sanctuary retreat above the little town of Uvita was just remarkable. We’ve stayed at many special places all around the globe and this is our number one favorite to-date. We read earlier reviews about people who stayed and didn’t venture out from their villa, which we couldn’t understand until we got there. We did explore CR each day and found this quiet location to be perfectly located near all the adventures we were seeking: waterfalls, snorkeling, hiking, beaches, national parks, and more. The service at Golden Pineapple is astounding —- welcoming, gracious and authentic. We felt genuinely cared for, and each morning at breakfast, staff helped us curate our experiences for the day - we learned about many places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The restaurant is top notch - unexpected for us foodies, given the relatively small number of guests. We had breakfast and dinner here nearly every one of our 5-day stay, and the poolside vibe is just perfection. Vegan? They got you covered with a dedicated menu. We felt spoiled! Housekeeping was immaculate and invisible. Amenities were great! We are nespresso ******* at home and we’re very pleasantly surprised by the expresso machines in the room. Lots of options for snacks/drinks to purchase in the room, also super convenient. We took a dip in our private plunge pool every early evening and relaxed for what we called “the 5pm show” of birds - toucans, macaws, and so many more that we couldn’t identify. The coatis also made a few appearances in the tree just outside our bedroom, foraging for breakfast. I’m sure they’re the CR equivalent of squirrels but we just loved them. One of the reasons we chose CR was for the promise of wildlife, and couldn’t believe how much of it we saw right outside our bedroom window. Sunsets are world class, views of the ocean also stunning. Can’t give high enough praise for the culture that’s been created at this very special place. You do have to work hard to make it up and down “the mountain” and it’s worth every 4x4 moment. If it’s not already, this will be one of those places that books up for many months in advance, it’s that amazing.

Simply SPECTACULAR! My husband and I spent four nights in one of the sunset villas at Golden Pineapple Villas and can’t say enough great things about this property. The location and views are simply amazing. But the staff and level of service are what sets this boutique hotel apart from others. Marlon 1, Marlon 2, Pablo and Leo went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. We appreciated the privacy that our villa had and it was impeccably clean every day. The food was also fantastic! We did not have one bad meal. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend a stay here if you’re are looking for a relaxing boutique experience.

Excellent emplacement Tout était parfait. La vue est magnifique et les petits déjeuners excellents. Très bon restaurant.
