"We only stayed one night, room was really nice, our evening meal and also good, but the one thing that let our stay down was the breakfast, iv never stayed in a hotel that doesn't have a breakfast menu or any cereals or fruit, juices, I know we could ask for different things but it seems odd that we had to ask for everything, we were told about the cooked breakfast but wasn't offered anything else, it was only when we heard another guest asking for fresh fruit that we thought oh that's a shame we would have probably had yogurt and cereal to start."

"What a fabulous find. My wife and I booked an evening meal and overnight stay at this establishment. It ticked all the boxes. Fab food, great staff, good atmosphere in the bar. The accommodation was top notch as well. Everything seemed as if it was new. Spotlessly clean, spacious comfortable room. Fab bathroom. A pleasure to write this glowing review. One thing to watch out for. The portion sizes in the restaurant are plentiful. A starter and main did it for me, in fact it beat me."

"OK...It's not the Ritz...but its fifty quid. Try finding a bigger, better, cleaner room for less. Its perfectly acceptable, comfortable etc. Lower your expectations, keep the price in mind and you'll be just fine. Yes its a little shabby and run on a budget in places, but as I say, remember the price. I personally enjoyed my room and my stay, had a great night sleep and would 1000% return when back in this part of Wales."

"What a great find - spending a week away on business our group welcomed the comfort and quality this lovely hotel offers. Rooms comfortable with quality furnishings and spotless. "Stumbled across this pub after a walk through Usk. Proper country pub, fabulous atmosphere, cosy corners, very Christmassy, lots of lights inside and out, Christmas tree, real fires, faux furs, rustic and very clean. There are some large rooms with big tables in for gatherings offering some privacy, a dining area, an outside wooden cabin which is decorated and heated. It’s quite unusual inside, one room looked like a library with a large dining table for example and there are stairs leading upstairs and off to the sides, some low ceilings in some areas- unique. There are outside benches also and lovely grassed areas. We only stopped for a drink initially as knew they’d stopped serving food however the chef stayed on for us, so we enjoyed a lovely meal here. There’s a good selection of food plus specials, and a vegan menu. It was fresh, plentiful and very hot. Husband had a turkey burger which was lovely and I had a tasty cod and chips. They we were not phased that we initially only stopped for a drink and I didn’t see anyone turned away. There’s also a secure dog field so your pup can burn some energy off if need be before going inside. There’s a bar if you want drink/ snack which is located up a few steps or if you can’t do steps there are some rooms for which the access is flat and the toilets can also be accessed easily. You can also stay here which is a bonus. Would be a lovely wedding venue / birthday venue etc. It’s a rare find to come across a proper pub these days rather than a chain. Will be back."

"A lovely overnight stay at the Cwrt Bleddyn after a friend’s local party.Very pleased to stay in the main hotel rather than the annexe where I had stayed before . Bed was really comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We took advantage of the swimming pool and Rajesh on the welcome desk of the swimming pool/ gym was so very helpful. Thank you Rajesh! We will definitely return."

"The only reason I have given a poor rating is with regards to the price. I am single person and had pay £140 a night for bed and breakfast when a couple sharing a room are also paying £140 for bed and breakfast, which is in affect £70 each or indeed a family of 4 sharing a family room the cost comes down to £35 a night for bed and breakfast, which I found to be very unfair."

"We stayed for two nights at this lovely pub in the beautiful town of Usk. Very friendly welcome and we were shown to room 3, a double room with ensuite overlooking the pub's beer garden. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and very homely. We had a reservation for the restaurant on our first night which was superb. Great pub food, piping hot and tasty. You order breakfast on the evening before from a tick sheet in your room and I must admit our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we couldn't finish it. Ordered less the next day and it was spot on. Enjoyed our stay very much. If you want a shiny bling place to stay then this is not it, but if you want somewhere with a bit of character, good food and a warm welcome, then come here."

"We married at the hotel on Wed 10th September 2025 using “Just the 2 of Us” package. As the name suggests, it was just myself and my partner and it was the most amazing day. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly and Alex and Carol acted as our witnesses. We were married in their library which has a beautiful vaulted wooden ceiling and is perfect for a smaller more intimate wedding. The hotel is a former country house and has a cosy, feel with spacious gardens for good photo opportunities. We had an overnight stay in the stunning bridal suite and the wedding package included a delicious a la carte 3 course dinner and full English breakfast. The hotel was perfect and the hotel staff made our day very special. They do cater for weddings of all sizes and I would highly recommend it for smaller weddings or those who just want it very personal, as we did."

"Well we have travelled 25 miles to visit this establishment. The first visit was by off chance as we was in the area, it was a Sunday and fancied something different, I used my phone and found the Grayhound that did a Sunday Tapas, we booked a table for two and arrived at a beautiful pub with the garden in immaculate condition and we had a great tapas that was a bargain. Today on a quiet Monday we had to do the miles and it was worth it, Liver and bacon were very tasty as was the lasagna my wife had. If you travelled 25 miles to visit a second time its a thumbs up from us. Thanks Grayhound Regards Dai Price Groesfaen Farm"
