"Good parts - Lovely room, enjoyed the food we bought in the evening (although pricey for the portion sizes). Staff in general friendly. Bad parts -no warning about loud noise from a party night. This kept me awake till after midnight and this was supposed to be a relaxing get away for us. Breakfast - very strange, no cereal, fruit or pastries etc. You aren't given a menu or asked what you would like. Just given an basic English breakfast (the produce did seem local & good though) with tea/coffee. Disappointed with breakfast. I was very cold in the restaurant both in the evening and morning at breakfast. Felt like I needed to wear a coat to be warm. Lastly, we weren't asked how our stay was. I would liked the opportunity to tell them about the lack of sleep due to the loud party at a minimum. My husband recommended this hotel to me after staying many times during COVID. He admitted a noticeable change since then and we agreed to probably wouldn't return now."

"We drove from Caerphilly today as the reviews were great for meat burgers , I rang ahead as I’m a fussy vegan who likes vegan food cooked in fresh oil and the kitchen confirmed they do this anyway ❤️ Wonderful staff, beautiful views and grounds . The food was amazing both meat eater and vegan very happy !! Lovely meat burger and vegan burger had no fake meat insight !!! They are totally dog friendly and even have a field dedicated to dogs with jumps , 10/10 visit Highly recommend this place and they have beautiful rooms too Staff behind the bar and server were lovely Go support this amazing pub with rooms ❤️ We will return ❤️"

"Tämä on hotelli hiljaisessa naapurustossa. Kaikki tarvittavat tarvikkeet on järjestetty, ja kylpyhuone on sekä suihku ja kylpyhuone. Puiset huonekalut sopivat hyvin huoneen ja sänky oli mukava. Aamiainen tarjoillaan perus mannermainen aamiainen. Henkilökunta on hyvin ystävällinen ja hotellin ympärillä oleva maisema on todella kaunis. Se on paras paikka rentoutua."

"Quite disappointed with our stay. We came to attend a wedding at Usk Castle so was convenient for that but otherwise not a lot else. We were put in the annexe which was VERY low standards. Cracked walls and bubbling paint, stained bath, poor taps, tv didn't work, sockets wobbling off the walls. Breakfast was extremely poor. 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 fried egg, small pot of beans. No option for cereal or fruit or pastries. Oh, and toast that had mould on EVERY slice!!! We asked for more and were given no apology. In fact we were told that was how it had been delivered that morning. If the kitchen staff didn't notice mouldy bread, what else are they missing?? Having seen photos on the website and other reviews on here, I'm genuinely shocked we have paid the same amount of money to stay in rooms in the annexe that are such poor standard in comparison to those in the hotel. From my experience of the annexe and the poor breakfast, I wouldn't recommend this hotel."

"OK ...Se ei ole Ritz ..., mutta se on viisikymmentä quid. Yritä löytää suurempi, parempi, puhtaampi huone vähemmän. Se on täysin hyväksyttävä, mukava jne. Alentaa odotuksia, pitää hinta mielessä ja olet vain kunnossa. Kyllä se on hieman sappi ja juoksee talousarvion paikoissa, mutta kuten sanon, muistaa hinta. Ihmisi huoneeni ja olohuoneeni, oli suuri yö uni ja palaisin 1000% kun palaan tässä osassa Wales."
