"$270 for one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. I’m 45 years old and have had many massages in many world class spas around the world and I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The spa is beautiful but that’s where the positives end. My mom and I both saw a woman whose name begins with an “A” but I don’t remember what it was. She basically just rubbed oil on my body for an hour. It was a soulless, lifeless interaction. At one point I asked her to apply more pressure and so she intensely pressed on my body for a few minutes and then went back to simply rubbing oil on me. She seemed extremely inexperienced and disconnected from her work. After the massage she brought us lukewarm/cold tea. The sauna wasn’t hot enough - I sat in there for 15 minutes and didn’t break a sweat - the hot pool wasn’t hot enough, my mom said the steam room smelled like mildew, there were clumps of hair in the shower and the water pressure was pathetic. I had to ask for a plastic bag to put my bathing suit in (I heard another girl so the same) - why not just make them easily accessible in the locker room? The front desk staff was lovely and that was about the only positive of the experience. The hotel grounds are stunning and the restaurant was really nice but skip the spa! Very upset about spending ~$600 on two horrible massage and a deeply disappointing spa experience"
