The Dundonnell Hotel

Called in for a drink after climbing An Teallach and decided to stay for an evening meal. Nice friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Mixed clientele...some people staying as guests, dressed smartly, others just off the hills in walking gear. Only 2 veggie options: Margherita pizza or the veggie special which was a fabulous pastry roulade...brie with spinach had just run out, and the new special was chick pea with chard and butternut squash roulade. Whatever main course, the vegetables were all the same....roasted veg and fancy potatoes...all very nice. There was going to be live music at 8pm...room set up with guitars and mandolins and various percussion instruments which apparently the guests are encouraged to play. We should have stayed but had a way to travel. Nice views from the window. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Hotel dentro del circuito de la NC500, y de verdad que después de un día en auto, agradeces una cama, agua caliente y comida caliente! El hotel es justo! Limpio, la atención muy amable! Nosotros andábamos con una pequeña de 2 años y le armaron la cama más linda que he visto, juguetes para ella. Te dicen qué hay problemas con el agua, ya que al ser de vertiente no es completamente incolora. Para aquellos que vivimos cerca de la montaña (yo soy de Chile), sabemos que eso es cierto. La comida del bar del lado (que es parte del hotel) es deliciosa y con música en vivo! Fue uno de mis mejores momentos en Escocia, son el emblema de la amabilidad de esta hermosa tierra. Volveré sin ninguna duda!

The bed was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. However, you could hear the men in the next room, and there was no tv to drown them out. I could only have a cold shower in the morning. As for the decor, they need to spend some of the inflated price they're charging people to update the 80s decor.

Excellent location on the edge of a loch. Spacious room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very efficiently organised and food good. Bar was comfortable and pleasant. Service was good. However, the general appearance of the place leaves a lot to be desired. It looks worn and past its best. The avocado bathroom suite with an overhead shower in the bath was a real throwback to an almost forgotten age. My biggest complaint is that it is grossly overpriced for what it is.

Idéalement situé dans un cadre enchanteur avec une vue simplement magnifique. L'hôtel est un peu démodé mais très propre, avec une excellente literie. Le petit-déjeuner est top, et le restaurant aussi. L'équipe est adorable. Beau parking face à l'hôtel. Le soir, nous étions bercés par les moutons, dont seul le bêlement perturbait un silence comme nous n'en avions jamais connu. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter. À noter : les 2 jeunes gérants parlent très bien français

Arrived late on a Friday evening. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We had an overnight stay in our campervan and drank some 🥃 at their bar. We arrived too late for an evening meal. A great asset, thanks.
