Lalghat Haveli

I had stayed in this place 7yrs ago and it was lovely, with the owner’s family staying at the location and lovely terrace. The vintage room was a dream with a perfect location. Nonetheless because of my great memories I booked the place for my vacation with a friend visiting from overseas. But I was so disappointed that we moved to another hotel within 2 hours! The room was not clean (cobwebs and dust all over) , bathroom was old and had water leakage marks, the entire guesthouse looked like it had not been cleaned (plastic bottle, paper, leaves) in the common areas and outside our room. The guest house was deserted. The entrance is not more like a storage space for leather goods. We immediately looked for another place and doing much better options to stay at lower price. The owner was not apologetic about it, rather defensive and did not bother to even consider returning the advance. I am just sad that they changed such a beautiful guest house, they have new construction that has ruined the common spaces and terrace which were their main attraction.
