The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace

Convenient location, nice lake view & lush green lawns are the key features of this property. Added to this are the warmth & courtesies of hotel staff. I would specially mention Chef Lakshman who went out of the way to take care of our gluten - free diet needs, creating dishes & snacks which did not even feature in their regular menu. The servers, Shahbaz & Kuldeep, were ever smiling & eager to make our dining experiences as memorable as possible. Our overall stay experience with them, I'd say, was NOT BAD ! Now, for some dampeners to our experience - the slow room service, ineffective exhaust system of the washrooms (the bad odour would linger on & on till we had to call for room freshner sprays !), lack of proper lighting in the washroom (we did expect a light over the mirror for a convenient viewing while shaving, makeup, etc.) as well as lack of drawers / additional shelf at the wash basin to accommodate the hand towels, the dental / shaving kit packets and other small accessories like body lotion bottle, etc. All these items always lay cluttered around the wash basin. I would also insist upon the management to upgrade their in-room TVs to smart ones. Currently, these were only available in suites. We had to watch our favourites on our personal laptops. Dear Management Team - we have been to your properties in Goa, Delhi & Chandigarh and have had excellent stay experiences. No doubt yours is a heritage property converted into a hotel, but that does'nt mean that such a property cannot have even basic amenities inside the room (as I've described above) I do hope you will take note of these suggestions & lead to a comfortable stay for future travellers !

My family had stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We had a wonderful experience overall. They have a wonderful service and there staff is very helpful. There breakfast is varying everyday, They have 2 different kinds of fresh fruits juices, shakes and there are vast variety of breakfast available to choose from continental to Indian. There is also non-veg food to choose from. The waiters are very kind and helpful. They serves food prepared from there own farm. I suggest you to have tofu mofu for dinner which is very soft and melts in your mouth. They have two different restaurant s one which server s continental food and the outdoor restaurant serves Indian food . They also have vast variety of drinks available. During evening They arrange live puppet show and ghazal show which are just mesmerizing and are must recommended. They also have gyms for those fitness freak, they also have 3 different types of massage, a personal yoga trainer which are available on request. They also have pool table . There room are fabulous and have great view. If possible choose the lake side view which over looks the Fateh Sagar lake. During sunset the property is mesmerizing and for those photo ******* it just heaven.

The Lalit Laxmi vilas palace hotel has best Fateh Sagar Lake view. Hotel is spread over 26 acres with greenary all around and it has only 55 rooms and many are lake view rooms. Rooms are spacious and BF is adequate but improvement is required in food quality. Staffs cooperative. One Al fresco restaurant. Worth every penny for the view it commands. It is 115 years old palace. You can have your BF outside in lawn overlooking Fateh sagar lake and cool breeze as hotel is at elevation. Worth visiting hotel for a tea / coffee even if one is not staying at hotel.
