Welcome to this incredible, cozy, just finished log cabin It is a one bedroom (queen bed), cabin on Lamoka Lake, one of "New York's Best Kept Secrets", just steps from the water's edge. You can enjoy additional sleeping space on the sofa bed in the living room with a queen mattress. We include a full bathroom and a complete kitchen with dishes for eating, pots and pans for cooking and an expandable table. You will stay nice and cool, or warm with the heat pump/Air conditioner mounted on the wall.Outside you can enjoy a beautiful covered wrap around deck with an eating table and cozy sitting area, including a cooling fan overhead for those really warm days (we've been told it keeps bugs away, also). The Weber 3 burner gas grill is just out the back door. The kayak rack with 4 kayaks is near the waters edge, and the dock, along with the fire pit and available fire wood. When you arrive, you will find a parking area with space for 2 vehicles. Be sure to bring your fishing gear as Lamoka Lake is noted for fishing. You can fish right off the dock out in front of the cabin.Lamoka lake is located between two larger finger lakes, Seneca and Keuka. Our scenic area boasts many wineries, distilleries and breweries just waiting for you to visit. Many tourist locations are within 25 minutes driving distance; such as, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport and Corning. The area has many walking trails, museums, bike trails, Amish/Mennonite shopping areas, along with lots of Waterfalls. Since this is the beginning of our 2nd year with the cabin, we don't have many reviews, but I decided to photograph and include the notes our guests have written in our journal. Lamoka is one of the shallower lakes so gets warm quick .In the middle of decorating and furnishing kitchen and porch necessities . Open floor plan with cathedral ceilings. With large area for parking. Right in the center of Seneca and Keuka Lake breweries and wineries. Huge open level lawn with 90' of lake shore. 2 sun loungers.Provided -Cornhole set , croquet set , paddle boat,4 kayaks , 1 paddleboard. Soft soccer ball, soft football, frisbee, whiffle ball set .(Water shoes recommended for swimming ) 9 Assorted sizes of life jackets provided. The front entry has a nice size covered porch, which wraps around to a huge, covered porch that faces the lake. The other set of stairs leads to the lakefront where you can enjoy the firepit. (Firewood provided) Take in the sunset from the eastern shoreline from either the firepit or giant covered porch. Lots of cooking spices, sugar, flour, olive oil, cooking utensils, pots and pans , food storage containers, Kitchen towels, potholders, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry and dishwasher soap. You will be responsible for purchasing for your party needs as needed. Keurig and drip coffee maker with filters , electric Tea pot and stove tea pot . A good assorted start of coffee, coco, and tea pods , with assortment of teas . If you keep your eyes to the sky, you will probly see the local Eagles and Ospreys!!!! The cottage offers an open living and dining space, a full kitchen, king bedroom on 1st floor with a full bathroom, interconnecting queen and double twin bedrooms on second floor and laundry. You won't be bored on a rainy day as cottage offers a 55" flat screen smart television, WiFi, Games, books and more. The outside amenities include a backyard fire pit and seating, dock space with a large sundeck with fire pit overlooking a gravel bottom walk-in swimming area (via steps) safe for the kids, dock with ladder for jumping into the water or fishing, kayaks for renter use only. This is a fisherman's paradise with access to the lake via a public launch for boaters and kayak enthusiasts, a cleaning station at the cottage and plenty of freezer space! Ice fishing is also popular in the winter when the lake is frozen. Dock bumper and tie-off is available for day use only at the cottage site, no overnight boat mooring is available. Owner will not accept responsibility for damage to any privately owned water craft while tied off at the cottage dock. Parking for a watercraft can be arranged prior to rental with the owner.
