However, my stay turned into a nightmare on the very first night. Shortly after falling asleep, I woke up due to incessant mosquito bites. I looked around, but there was no mosquito repellent provided in the room. Thus began my battle with the mosquitoes. The terrifying part was that even after killing 30-40 mosquitoes by 3 AM, they were still not completely eradicated. Exhausted, I managed to get a little sleep, only to find over a dozen more mosquitoes still alive and well in the room the next morning. It truly was a 'night of horror' at the port! Because of this, Tumen will forever leave an unforgettable impression on me!"

"The hotel is located by the Tumen River. You can see North Korea from the room. It is very close to the No. 86 boundary marker. But the room facilities are indeed old. We booked two suites. The window of one of them was covered by the outer glass of the building, which was basically not ventilated. In addition, the breakfast was not very good. There were few varieties, like a farmhouse. There was basically no food when we went there at 8 o'clock. The price of more than 500 per night was a bit disappointing."
