Hotel Casa Tortuga Tulum - Cenotes Park Inclusive

Beautiful Concept but Not Ready for Guests We really wanted to love Hotel Casa Tortuga—but our experience was disappointing. Our taxi driver had trouble finding it and had to stop to ask for directions. When we arrived, reception was closed. We had to call a number posted outside and wait while getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. When someone finally arrived, he didn’t speak English, though he did call someone who could help over the phone, which we appreciated. He took us to our room, which was unbearably hot. We turned on the AC and went to grab dinner. We were told the restaurant around the corner served until 7, but when we arrived at 6:35, they said the kitchen was already closed. We returned to a still hot room—hungry, sweating, and covered in mosquito bites. At that point, we decided to find another place to stay. Thankfully, the English speaker was responsive via WhatsApp and helped us get a taxi. We didn’t even mind losing the money on the hotel and taxi—we were just relieved to leave. With better communication and guest care, this place could be a great stay. But for now, it’s not a place I’d recommend.
