Zoé’s Paradise Waterfront Hotel

The staff, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left were fantastic, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel in general and room were really clean and this extended to how the property itself looked. Comfortable bed with linen replaced daily, shampoo & body wash provided but bring your own toothbrush and razor. The location is in central Tuk Tuk along a waterfront lined with accommodation options and a few places to eat, so right in the middle of what little there is to do in that area. Breakfast was either buffet-style or pre-ordered a la carte, both very good in terms of variety and quantity. The rooms facing the lake have either a great view or some view, depending upon whether-or-not the room you end up with has one of those artificial Sumatranese high pitches in front of it; if you want an unobstructed view, best to contact the place directly and ask. Now, if your room doesn't face the lake, you get to look at a hillside. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in a communal area on each floor. There was nothing we didn't like about Zoes but there are 4 floors of accommodation (the ground floor is restaurant and pool access), starting at level 2, with reception on the 3rd floor, putting it on the same level as the "main", and only road that runs past the back of all the hotels in that area; there is no elevator and the stairs one must use are quite steep and covered in high gloss tiles, so be very careful, especially if your walking is compromised. This has nothing to do with Zoes, but because the road around the island was, when we were there, partly washed-out in 2 or 3 places, the only way through is on motorbike, should you be in a car you can get so far and will have to turn around and go back the way you came.

We stayed at Zoe’s paradise, and it was paradise! The rooms very nice and clean, with an amazing view over Lake Toba. Swimmingpool was great, specially for kids. Food in general (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was exceptional. Very fresh and locally sourced. We ate fish from the lake and it tasted so good! The staff were so friendly, smiling and helpful. They helped us with arranging tours that were made after our needs, as a family with two kids and a baby. We would definitely stay there again!

My superior room at high floor was facing the beautiful lake Toba and the pool. The room is clean and spacious enough for a couple. The resort is well kept and clean, and the staffs are cheerful and helpful. The breakfast is great and the cafe faces the nice pool and lake. Highly recommended!

We got the cutest and most colourful ferry from Parapat to Zoes Paradise Hotel. Rooms was huge. Massive double bed...so comfy. Room nice and clean. Good size bathroom with waterfall shower. Beautiful view overlooking the Lake. The pool was lovely and clean and we even went down the slide. A massage with Lenny is a MUST!! Best massage I've had.....she knows which points to press!! Such a professional and lovely lady and very cheap! Staff in this hotel are so so nice and helpful. They would do anything for you. Lovely breakfast overlooking pool. Great location with restaurants and coffee shops all around. We got an incredible day and a half local tour with Rio from Alyssa Restaurant just round the corner from our hotel.....highly recommend!!! All in all a fabulous place and would love to come back!

This place is really amazing Very good food as well and important the room very clean and the staff was very friendly I love it so much here We were staying for 3 nights with my wife and my daughter 4 years old We really had good time in this place We hope we will be back there someday
