Breakfast variety is minimum at best

Stayed two nights to attend a concert in Port Chester, Mets game, and go to the Bronx Zoo. These are studio suites, so there is no door or separation between the living room area and the bedroom. So if you want to stay up late and watch TV while someone else is asleep, you can't really accomplish this. But my legitimate complaints are that the air conditioner seemed to have an issue with the compressor. It would come on like the space shuttle was about to lift off, but after running for about two minutes, it would shut off. You had to use the controls on the AC unit to run it even though there was a thermostat in the room. I mentioned it to the desk when we checked out and was told the thermostat do not control the temperature. But there was no note in the room about which control to use, and it clearly wasn't working properly. I didnt mention it until we were leaving because it wasn't too hot outside for late May. Other issue was that the curtains let in way too much morning light that it woke me at 6:30 AM both mornings. There needs to something to attach the curtain to on the right side of the window frame. Also, the handle for the slider on the bathroom door was loose. Other thing I noticed was the elevator floors were not cleaned all weekend. Saw some trash from a to go order that someone had left near the elevator Saturday evening that was still there when we checked out out Sunday morning after 9 AM. Beds were too soft and the pillows were entirely flat. Complimentary breakfast didn't really interest me, but the coffee was good. The pool is currently closed for "maintenance," but I didnt really get the impression that they trying to reopen it. All that being said, the room was clean and had a large TV in the room with free MAX streaming. The hotel is not really located within walking distance of town just because the street where it is located is kind of industrial so its somewhat desolate at night and weekends. When we checked out, the desk clerk did not ask how our stay was. I got the impression they don't care much. Unfortunately, hotels post Covid are not the same. Room didnt even include maid service for a stay of two nights, yet they still leave an envelope in the room seeking gratuity.
