We found a box of food in the fridge and the elevator was over heating and not working properly

Friendly and sweet lady working the front desk. 1. No complementary breakfast. Never have experienced this at Courtyard. They did however, have coffee!! 2. 2 dead roaches in room. ( at least dead ) 3. Super dirty window 4. Musty smell in room 5. Extremely poor lighting 6. Loose plugs by bed therefore could not charge phones by bedside 7. Paid parking in rural area. I get if large downtown city, but Troy, AL. Just no Hampton Inn right next door so they there if you come to Troy.

Best in Troy but not up to brand standards. 1. The pool. Full of algae. Someone needs to scrub this thing. See pics. 2. Someone on staff parked up front. The red car was there all day. Why? 3. Loud party in the room across our hall. We asked the manager if we could move rooms. He said he would charge us? ***? How bout charge our neighbors for my inconvenience and being too loud. 4. Undergoing construction so it's a little hectic. I've stayed here on and off for 7 years. I'll stay at the new place being built behind publix next time. Motel 6? Everything about this Courtyard needs to be challenged. Our room was it clean. The chair was soiled. The shower faucet was coming out of the wall. Terrible. Oh and don’t forget you owe $3.00 a day to park! What a joke. Not to mention the coffee in the lobby is $4.00 a cup.

This should not be a Marriott hotel. The building is old and noisy. We were on the second floor and could hear people walking in the hallway above us all night. The floors and walls are thin and noisy. There was crud around the bathtub that looked like it hadn't been cleaned on 20 years. The mattress was a cheap hard foam that was very uncomfortable. There is no breakfast at all, not even coffee in the lobby. Lastly, the water tastes awful and the coffee I made in the room was undrinkable. Lastly, the bill included a parking and restaurant recovery fee that I have yet to figure out.

My daughter, grandbaby and I were in town for funeral. The employees didn't seem to be very happy, except the girl working the breakfast on Fri the 26th...she was great especially since working alone. Being a Bonvoy cardholder meant nothing and I wasn't acknowledged or thanked. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Hilton properties seem to be a better fit for my family. We travel alot and thought we would try this brand out.

The mold in the hotel is so over whelming! It took 3 different rooms before I found one I could tolerate. The AC had mold growing on top of the coils and forget turning on the heat! The staff was very nice but something has to be done which the mold and filth in this hotel.

The worse hotel ever, charge you for parking and they told us free coffee and breakfast! That was not true! Lied right to our face!!!! Suppose to take the parking charges off and they did not! The place was not clean! Would never stay there again!! I will tell everyone not to go there! Shame on you management!!

The positive: Furnishings were up-to-date and lovely. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. These are the basics and Courtyard delivered on them. The negative: the electrical outlets on the bedside lamps were so loose that they wouldn't hold a plug, which meant that both of us had to put our phones in inconvenient places while we slept. Also, the thermostat seemed unresponsive to anything we tried. It was freezing when we arrived and stifling during the night. I'm not a prima dona. My husband and I take lots of road trips during which we often stay at 1950's vintage motels. We pay $60-80 and accept that there will be issues. But Courtyard Marriott charges nearly triple that amount. For that price, I expect far better. THIS IS A MARRIOTT PROPERTY! DO BETTER!
