My wife and I stayed in South Beach hotel for one night in September, while on vacation from America, before catching the ferry to Arran the next day. We were in Glasgow during the day, setting our daughter up in the rental apartment she'd be staying at while attending Glasgow University. We didn't arrive at South Beach until late in the evening, and the kitchen had closed. We went to the bar to have a drink and some snacks, and, while sitting at a table having our drinks, a member of staff appeared with a tray of sandwiches they'd made up especially for us, as they didn't want us to go hungry. First class service, which was very much appreciated! The staff of the hotel were very friendly, and the hotel itself is quaint, and is very close to the beach. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Troon.

We were part of a party with Gibbon Coach Holidays for 3 nights from 23rd September. Really enjoyed our stay, clean comfortable room with a great sea view , Very nice food and extremely friendly, competent and pleasant staff . Well done all concerned

Went for a bar meal with family. 6 of us. Service was very slow. 3 had fish and chips which were awful. Fish in batter was barely cooked. Batter really soggy. Plate was covered in grease. Asked twice if we wanted the bill before we had even been offered the dessert menu! We were asked when paying if everything was ok but when we said it was disappointing there was no comment. Having had a good experience there previously it was very disappointing.

This hotel is well situated a short walk into town and overlooking the sea. The accommodation is very comfortable and the bar area is especially cosy. Food in the restaurant and the breakfast was very good. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We will stay again when in Troon.

Staff very good,as were the meals. The room was lovely and big. had a good view of the sea. Slept well as the bed was very comfortable. For a 3 star hotel should be close to 4 star. Only thing missing was a lift for people who may have had mobility issues.

Hotel is lovely centrally located you can walk to the Royal Troon, walk to the main street. Across the street from the beach. Staff is wonderful. Made an amazing breakfast. That was part of the hotel stay. Lovely bar where we could sit and enjoy friends and family. Lovely sitting areas, I have stayed there before and certainly will stay there again when I’m lucky enough to get back to Troon

Just back with my wife having spent a lovely weekend at this hotel to attend my sister and brother in laws ruby wedding which was held in the hotel’s beautiful function room . The night itself was amazing and our whole weekend made special by owner Stuart and his wonderful team . We would most definitely recommend the hotel for a most enjoyable stay . My wife and I arranged a last minute one-night stay over the Easter weekend, and payed a wee bit extra for a “penthouse” room with a sea-view. The room had all the facilities we needed and more, with a lovely seating area at a large picture window. Dinner exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was great. We had a brilliant time.

Firsrt time visiting here, and had a good experience. Went with family for my sister in laws birthday, only downside is there was no fish left to have the fish and chips so had the burger instead which was amazing, nice and Juicy and decent size portion. Would recommend here to anyone. Only issue i found was not alot of parking
