Cabanas of Treasure Island

Such a cute property! The mural on the side of the building that greets you when you first drive up sets the tone for your stay. Then you go in to this wonderful courtyard that has a very beachy theme and comfortable places to sit--even a hammock! The room decor was very beachy, and the staff was so friendly! Rooms were very clean except the floor had dirt that you could not see--it's the beach, and it's impossible to get all the sand up. It just is. Beds were comfy, and although we did not use the microwave and coffee maker, it was nice that it was there. There was also a mini-fridge, which we did use. We had trouble figuring out the TV. We could only watch streaming channels. No big deal though. The biggest problem we had was there was no hot water. Had we been there for more than two nights, that could have been a bigger problem. Also, when you sit on the toilet your leg hits the toilet paper roll and you can't roll it, so you quickly learn to get your TP before you sit down. The rooms were tight for sure, especially the bathroom. No pool was disappointing, but we were there to go to the beach. Still, a pool would be nice but there's no room for one. The courtyard would be the only place to put it but it would be sad to give up the courtyard. I'd stay again, I think.
