Arvilla Motel

First time staying at this hotel and will definitely stay again. Small hotel but very nice. Our room was clean, had a stove top, fridge, microwave and a well stocked "kitchen area" with dishes, pots/pans, silverware. There was also a nice pool and a short walk to the beach. Other guests we met had stayed before and keep coming back. The front desk person, Cindy, was great, answered our questions, made suggestions and very pleasant. The housekeeping person, Karen, was great too. Although we did not use her service, she always asked if we needed anything, i.e.. fresh towels, soap, etc. She is responsible for all the occupied rooms and does a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples, individuals, and families - the room types available will accommodate your needs

We have stayed here 4 different times since June. The reason for the trips was to spend time with our niece dying from cancer. Though a small resort the kindness and accommodating staff out shine those high rises. Tonya’s 1 last wish was to go sit on the beach. Not only did she get that but Ann let us bring her and her kids here to enjoy the hotel. They helped with getting her to the edge of the pool so she could get her feet in the water. One of her last outing. We laughed and it took her mind off the cancer for a little while. Thank you Cindy & Mary Anne and Ann for your compassion. The rooms were just right. The 1 bedroom was spacious. The rooms and grounds are very well kept. It was liking coming home to visit friends.

BITTEN BY BED BUGS AT NIGHT NO ONE ATTENDING FRONT DESK AT ANY HOUR NEGLIGENCE AT A SHOCKING LEVEL FILING FOR FRAUD WITH MY CC COMPANY HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF HEALTH HAZARD AND SANITIZE EVERYTHING! HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE RESORT AT ALL. THIRD PARTY BOOKING SITES TAKE ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR SENDING YOU TO A PLACE THIS NEGLECTED! DIRTIER THAN EUROPEAN HOSTELS!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

Stayed at the Arvilla Motel early April 2024 for 8 nights. The hotel is basic, cleanish but functional for a budget hotel directly on the beach. Points regarding Arvilla: * The motel is tired but functional * whilst staying at the motel you will NOT receive maid service for the duration of your stay. If you need clean towels etc then you must take your used towels to reception to be switched. * The rooms are old and very tired. Kitchenette units are shabby but work. For the length of time we stayed we managed. * The pool, though stated heated, was colder than the gulf. * Limited seating round pool and motel. * Though laundry services available ($1.50) the area needed a clean. * Location is great * Adequate car parking on site * Use of beach chairs at Motel for beach. Stated on website towels for pool - this didn’t seem to be the case. Having stayed at the motel and looked around whilst there we would have been able to probably get an updated accommodation of the inter-coastal side for the same/if not cheaper and more updated and better furnished. However if nothing else would be available we would stop at the Arvilla again, though the lack of maid service once in a while makes your holiday especially when we as a family saved up to travel from the UK to USA. Additionally nothing mentioned regarding no maid service on website only until check in at reception on arrival.
